Just had my C63 tuned at Gintani (OE Tuning)

Went down to Gintani today to get my car tuned by Jeremy @ OE Tuning.
Jeremy did an amazing job. very down to earth and all around great guy.
The whole Gintani crew are great guys as well.
Words Cannot describe how hard the car pulls now, Feels very strong and solid. Completely different power from stock. I really wasn't expecting the car to pull as hard as it does.
No dyno results yet, but i am planning on dynoing it when Gintani does an open house in they're new facility.
Overall I am EXTREMELY happy with OE Tunning!!!!

BTW Gintani has big plans for the C63.

Congrats on your new tune.... you should bring the car to Famoso on the 20th. Jeremy will be there and so will a few C63s.... maybe you can optimize your tune on the track Here is the link if you're interested:

Congrats! I know the feeling very well. It really wakes up our cars big time. Was their dyno not set up yet at the new place? Let me know next time you head down to Gintani. I haven't seen those guys in a while. I might swing by aswell.

I don't see how. Seems like this motor would be completely different with a lower compression ratio, and not in a good way. And at 11.3 stock, it's too high for even moderate boost.

Gintani has done it on a E92 M3 - that's 12:1!

Owning a C63 without a tune for 13 months and then getting the 2010 and going right to the tune I have to say it was amazing how much more power OE unlocks.

Another good job by Jeremy! Watch out for this guy!

Now its time to represent him on the track!! Lets show MHP whats up...

(All in good fun MHP don't get all crazy... lol)

I believe they are at the top of their craft based on customer feedback, so we'll see, but I still say FI won't be done with any regularity on this car, if at all.

That said, I'm all for creative engineering. So lets see what's next for our cars.

Ya it was like a sleeping giant just waiting to be woken up.
Yes, the did have a Dyno setup at the new shop. They were tunning a AW Supercharged E92 M3 with the full catless Gintani race exhaust, All i have to say is OOMMFFGG !!!! One of the loudest and craziest cars ive seen and heard.

Congrats! I don't see why the OE tune combined with a set of MBH headers wouldn't be able to compete with or even beat those guys with the MHP tune and header combo. I'm starting to lean towards the OE tuning and MBH headers based on the feedback on the forums.

It's very easy to lower the compression to allow for FI on the 63 motor...if you wanted to, but it's not necessary. The stock compression can handle FI no problem. Trust me, compression ratio on at 63 motor is the smallest part of making FI happen....

That is a direct injection motor, not a port fuel injected one like the 63s.

This one kind of puzzles me. Congrats to the OP on the tune, but what feedback are you talking about? I've yet to see one timeslip with that combination of tuning, let alone anything close to what the MHP S2 cars are running.

In fact I don't think I've seen an OE tuned C63 run at the track yet either?

Time for you OE guys to get to work! Anyone going to ATCO or MIR?

I respectfully disagree, considering turbo and centrifugal blowers especially can be fabricated to fit a particular car in a matter of a several weeks.

Tuning the ECU to handle more power isn't a problem. Like with NOS applications, the TCU might prove troublesome, however.

At 11:3 CR, FI can be done, but its way too risky on a $70K engine. I know that LS3's have 10:7 CR, and 10 psi can be run with non-forged bottem end, but most people keep boost at around 8psi tops. Still, to be safe, you would obviously want to run meth.

I guess a FI system could be done and I'm not naive, I wouldn't doubt it if someone has built a FI system for the M156, but I've heard that very large MB tuning companies could not engineer a dependable and efficient FI option.

You mentioned that adding forged, lower compression pistons, etc., isn't that difficult and probably not necessary for adding FI on the 63 engines, so in your opinion what's been the hold up in bringing a FI setup to market?

Edit: I'm typing from a droid, and I accidentally pushed the purple face that goes in the subject line of this post. Sorry about that, it was a mistake.
