headlight bulb replacement - which H7 to use?
Within a weeks time, each of my original H7 low beam headlight bulbs failed. I replaced them with the standard Sylvania H7 bulb from an auto parts store. The lighting from the car is terrible now - no distance, too much side illumination. The stock bulb was a GE H7A, but of course the auto parts store didn't have that one.
Which bulb should I be using? Sylvania makes 4 different levels of H7 bulbs, should I try one of the "higher" level ones? Or is there something about the OEM H7 (H7A as marked) bulb that is different, should I buy new bulbs at the dealer?

Different bulbs could give you different patterns and light output, perhaps you could try to get the bulbs from the dealership ?
Also check they are in properly, correct orientation, and seated in the socket correctly.

They bulb doesn't seem to "twist lock" in place, just sits flush againt the mount and then held in with the clip. I will check again, but I don't think they are installed incorrectly.

I use Philips Vision Plus, brighter than stock or regular H7 bulb..
X-Treme power would be brighter, but I am worried about the longevity of them

I have Philips Diamond Vision 5000K for both my low beams and fog lamps. I have been using this for several months with no problem.
It also matches AZN's LEDs perfectly

The Sylvania "bright" bulbs seem to get very poor reviews for longevity, but that's the only brand the local auto parts stores seem to sell. Can't get the Philips or the GE Nighthawks locally, I have to call the dealer and see what make the bulb sold there is.
