Sun Roof Stutter

As I was closing the sunroof on my 2009 c300, the roof would almost close, hesitate, slide back 4 inches and then stop. It would not close-tried it several times and same result.

As I finally got out of the car, I decided to try the close and lock feature on the smart key. The sunroof closed perfectly.

Any thoughts before I take it to the dealer.

Thanks

Check you manual. There is a sequence to follow that corrects that problem. If it continues the dealer has to do a reprogram.

It's the same procedure as resetting the window express function.
My ancient 2008's roof did this a few times when it was newish. No big deal.

I tried to sync IAW manual, and it didn't work for me. My car is at the dealer right now. They tried to sync it several times and still didn't reset. So they gave me a loaner and should be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. I will check the manual and see if I can get it.

But what I still don't understand is why it would close with the smartkey but not with the button inside the car. Anyone?

Right in the manual. Worked perfectly. Took, literally, 1 second.

Thanks

she's good to go again... dealer had to reprogram, adjusted the hood and trunk. refused the car wash and went on my merry way.
