I think i need to be more specific. i have 255/35 on my rear tires, can I put a wider tires, lets say 265/35 or 275/35 on my stock 18's?

you can go 265/35/18

275 will be too bubbly

i think it would look more sportier hehe and only if it safe and ok to use a wider tires u know. cuz i've seen those cars with a wider rear tires, it's just looks nice. so, since i can put 265/35 in rear, do i have to go wider in the front, like 245? or i dont have to.

You can go wider on rear & front or just rear. Watch clearance to the strut on the front.

Keep it original and you'll have fewer surprises.
