How soon can we order the 2012 C class?
Since the 2012 facelifted C class will be shown in the NA Auto show in Jan (according to some mag), any chance this car will be available in US sooner than summer? It seems a little bit odd to me that MBUSA will show a facelift model in public 6 months before the actual release date. Any thoughts? I'm in the market for C class and wonder whether I can get the facelifted version in the next 3 to 4 months.
Thanks!

Most model years are normally finished tooling up in July for delivery in August. So no, most likely not.

Not to buy 2011 C-Class is not an advertisement for Mercedes-Benz, neither for Mercedes-Benz dealers... Actually, I don't really see who will benefit from this kind of advertisement...
This article has a valid point - if you can hold for another 6 months, you will get wa-a-a-ay more superior vehicle as far as looks, comfort and performance... it also gives you the main advantages and disadvantages of 2012 C250 vs. C300...

Saving fuel is where the future headed but I haven't seen someone bought mercedes (any model) with fuel consumption as its main concern.

Not sure how the article get their figure of C250 vs C300, but the current C250 comes with 5 speed instead of 7 G-tronic, and 0.2 second less for 0-60. Not to mention only single exhaust tip as in C200. Maybe 2011 model (2012 in US) comes with 7 G-tronic to improves acceleration? or we could be seeing new 300 series engine by end of 2011?

When the W204 Facelift comes out, and 99% of the buyers will be buzzing about in 4-bangers, that will be further proof from a marketing research perspective.

S-Class owners don't care so much about MPG's. But the average C-Class owner certainly has that factor at the top of their list.

A few different ones
Glad to hear they are updating the engine, my lease comes up in May on my 09 c350. I might just turn it in and wait for the 2012 model. I really like my c but am not crazy about the power of the engine.
I was considering buying it out at lease end but this might change my mind.
I am happy I came across this thread

Double clutch trans = faster starts off the line, faster shifts, and minimal interruption to power delivery because while one clutch is engaging the other is disengaging. Option for full auto or full manual control on demand.
No more lag!!
Superior to old fashioned torque converters that are far slower to engage and shift.
