2008 C300 - AC/Heat Not Blowing..Plz Help
We had just had a snow storm the past few days - Approx 18 inches of snow and when I went into my car today to turn on the heat, Nothing blows out of the vents.. All The lights and diagrams light up but nothing blows out on heat or ac? Is it possible that something has froze causing it to not turn on or what else could it be? and how can i fix it.. Any Help would be greatly appreciated thanks..

Forgive me for asking the obvious but did you wait for the car to warm up a bit ? Benzes don't blow cold air into the passenger compartment when it is cold outside. The airflow will not start until your engine is warm enough (somewhere between 50-60 degrees if you look at the gauge on the dash) for the warm air to start being pumped into the cabin.

Thats ok and YES the vents are open you cant even hear the blower coming on... Could something like the blower freeze? Seems strange it happened after there was almost two feet of snow i was driving through?

30 minutes is plenty. Both of my cars start blowing hot air after about 5-7 minutes every morning on my way to work. Since you can hear the fans going I can't even suggest to you that it's a fuse. I don't think its something that we could diagnose. Your best bet would be to take it to the dealer and see what they can find.

Sorry about that. In that case it could be something as simple as a fuse needing to be replaced. Dealership can take care of that for you in about 5 minutes. Just take it in to get a definite diagnosis regarding this issue.

If your car was outside , snow & ice may have frozen your fan then blown the fuse when it was not allowed to turn. I would look at your fan.( under the bonnet.

Its been a common problem with melting snow building up in the heater box and freezing the fan solid. Try and get the car somewhere warm and let it idle. The fan may restart as the heater box thaws.
Good luck

Release the spring clips at each end of the back edge along the firewall. You can then tilt the box forward and look in at the vertical squirrel cage blower.

Common problem with early 08 W204's the box the blower is mounted in has no drain holes and the water builds and finally freezes the motor in place which then burns out trying to turn. Go to your AD and they will fix it like they did mine. Happened on the coldest day in winter 09 to me, was not a fun drive to and from work that day.

I just had this happen to me, the heat works okay now I'm just guessing that it was frozen =[, you think I should have it replaced also?
Oh, and now my drivers window won't auto-close.

to fix the window just run it down and hold the switch down for 10 seconds and then run it up and hold it up for 10 seconds. It just needs to be reset, seems to happen to everyone once.

2008 C300 Blower Motor failure
My blower motor failed yesterday (PN 2048200208). I had the problem diagnosed at the dealer in Mechanicsburg, PA today and the diagnosis is burned out blower motor. As you know the internet already published the fact that a missing blower housing drain hole causes this problem in early 2008's. The problem was fixed by MB later in the year but no recall was ever issued.
My c300 has 68000 miles on it and I found out that neither the dealer nor MB really care about my problem. I talked to both of them on the phone. At MB I had a very stressed, irate and unfriendly female on the phone who felt bothered and told me to call the service manager at the dealership. The dealership service manager told me that the car is out of warranty.
Neither of them seems to understand that consumers buy cars with good quality reputation for reasons of quality, trouble free operation and longevity.
The bill is 460 bucks. I'll get it fixed and change brands ...
