Grtz,
Because you may have a problem with the 255 rubbing the fender even at stock height.

Actually at stock height with 18x9.5 +53 he should clear with 255/35/18. Front with 18x8.5 +43 you might want to go with 225/40 given the offset is kinda low.

Stock 18" AMG wheels are

F: 18x8 +50 225/40/18
R: 18x8.5 +54 255/35/18

Remember though, Hankook tends to run a bigger size than most tires.

225/40 will almost run the same as 235/40
255/35 same as 265/35

Okay, Loonie,

The rims are choozen from the website of mandruswheels, so the should fit.....As you know ( i think) those wheels escpecially made for mercedes, working well with the offset....

So you think that at the front 18x8,5 ET 43 fits better by 225/40.
235/40 i might have problems?, when i choos for 225/40there wil be no problem with 8,5 in he font?

As i said before:

Front: 7,5X17 ET 47
Rear: 8,5X17 ET 58

Offset of the new rims are 5mm less, Front 43 Rear 53.

What do you mean by "...Hankook tends to run a bigger size than most tires....."?

Another brand of tire?...recommend.....

Thank you , i'm till looking for information , here is a lot of information in this forum..

Aproxx in 4/5 days the rims will be delivered....

Marc,

You will need stretch the tire to pull off that low of an offset on a 19. 225 width or lower I would say. Check out the site below and see what you like.

Hi,
So I conclude that either 225x35x19 or 235x35x19 on rims 9.5 x 19 x ET38 for FRONT wheel will fit a Coupe C180 (w204) year 2013 and wont hit the fenders and suspension Am I correct?
Thx

Any issues with lug length?

I run Stance SC-5ive 19x8.5 +45 235/35 in front and 19x9.5 +48 265/30 in rear and I have rubbing only on passenger side outside of tire. Only rubs with someone else besides driver. Its annoying and I can't figure out why.

It is all stock suspension, no lowering at all. Staggered wheels have different size tires. I got them at premium motorsport they advertise on this site. Good guys highly recommend.

i was on carid website looking at getting Mandrus Stuttgart 19's for my W204 in a staggered setup. this is what the site offered me with Michelin Pilot Sports

235/35ZR19 Y 19x8.5 front
275/30ZR19 Y 19x9.5 rear

won't the 275's in the rear be to much ... and if so why did such a reparable site give me as the only option for running 19's?

Rubbing Issue

hi guys

need a bit of help!!!

I just got my new rims and tires put on yesterday on a 2012 C300 4matic. i did a lot of study regarding the proper offsets and sizes. Finally came to a conclusion:
19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5 ET45
235/35 and 265/30
Even went for the 'skinny' brand of tires. Falkens 453

Everyone i talked to told me 45 would be fine with stock suspension. But still there is a bit of a rub on the rear passenger side. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM?

What is the largest size you can run with the stock AMG's? I plan on running Michelin Pilot Super Sport, summer tires only. I have Michelin's now on my stock 17's and they handle pretty good down the highway at 90 weaving through traffic. I like to get as fat as I can on the rear and front.

Thanks

Yes, go with tires that are ACTUALLY skinny. FK 453's run extremely big, a full size big. You need to go with FK452's if you want to run Falken tires on the skinny side. 512's used to be the best stretch tire but they are discontinued and wear super fast. Try the 452's or go a size down in some other brands like Hankook, Yoko or nitto neogens. Going to a 225/35 and 255/30 in the 453 would also work too if you like those tires.

I have the same problem. My ET is 48 on the rear with a 265 tire on a 9.5 rim. Passenger side rear rubs. Can't figure out why, dealer told me that the tires are too big! Look down the side of your car and see if your passenger rear wheel sticks out further than your driver. Dealer then told me that my car was not centered on the axle but was within. MB specs. So now I'm looking in to getting my ET modified on that one wheel.

Rubbing Issue!

I had a chat with the tire shop and he said he will bring in 255's in Yoko and also Michelins. Will try them on Monday and see if that helps. Falken 452 are out of stock everywhere and hard to get a hold of since they are discontinued.

I did notice that the rear passenger tire sticks out a little more compared to the drivers side. Will keep you guys posted on the result. Dont understand why w204 has such a high offset!!!

FK452's are not discontinued, just the 512's are. You should be able to get them from discount tires direct and many other places online, I got mine only two weeks ago and they have a ton in stock.
If you are just going to try Michelins or Yoko s drives that's cool too. Hopefully you find a combo that works!

Rubbing Issue! SOLVED!!!

Finally tried 255's in Yoko S.Drive and they seem to have solved the problem. no rubbing in the rear passenger side.

I have heard some bad reviews on Yoko's tread wear specially with German sport sedans but i am willing to take a risk. Will be posting some close up shot very soon. Thanks for all the help guys!

Awesome thread guys. Just got a used c300 and was regretting trading my c230 in with my rims. Glad to know it wouldn't have fit right anyway.
