whats the offset of the wheels matt?

mine are 19x10 w a 40mm offset 275/30/19 and I dont rub even when I drop it w the ride control. BUT it barely makes it, clears by a piece of cardboard. If your above 40mm u should clear, just run a narrow brand tire like falkens or sumitomos. I like the 452 falkens and the Zr3s sumitomo

if u goto a decent rim/tire shop they will test fit for you and bottom the car out to see if they rub. I tried 285/30/19 first and when it bottomed out it rubbed. all they do is fit one side and lower the car onto some old rims on that side or wood blocks. when the car comes off the lift on that side the suspension is bottomed out and you know if it rubs. If your sticking way out and worried about the fenders go SLOOOOOOOW. once its bottomed you can then check the fabric inner and see if its rubbing. If u can fit a credit card or piece of skinny cardboard in it it clears. ANY decent wheel shop should know how to do this, its standard custom fit protocol..........jimmy

I'm looking at something like
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-WH...item48409be1ab
that but I'm kind of retarded when it comes to offsets - they just confuse me. Would I rub with those?

Forgot to mention that the strut sits right on top of the tires. I know I need spacers but do you think I'll need smaller tires? Is 245 to wide?

I believe people normally runs 225 or 235 up front with this high an offset.

No spacers will push them out towards the fender cuz right now it's sitting under the front struts

Adding a spacer will ease the rubbing problem but now your wheel will stick out from the fender. If the tire is actually rubbing your struct, you may want to consider to run 225 up front.

If you run slightly thinner tires you will not. Please refer to the picture on page 5.

Well it's not just rubbing. When I let the jack down the strut is actually sitting on the tire. The place I purchase from said that it should fit because they do that setup all the time and said spacers should clear. But I also think the tire is too fat. Since I'm not running staggared will 235 be alot less fat. Thank you for your help

That sucks that they dont fit. I guess a spacer would work but that's just a bummer that they assured you and it didn't work.

is there a specific bolts for the aftermarket wheels such as shorter bolts for the rear,
or any bolts will fit that from places like america's tires or what not?

Will do! Going to be placing the order this week. I'm excited as hell. Any opinions on what color I should spray the caliper? I had red on my red c230, was thinking red again but not sure. Any ideas?

I would run a 235 or even a 225 with an 8.5 width, but thats not why your rubbing. You need around a 45mm offset even as low as 40mm with that, your way too high in the 55mm range, tire is too far in. Your gonna need at least a 10mm spacer, and this changes with 4matic cars. If you guys look at the stock wheels benz offers on C classes there are actually 4 different wheels and all have different offsets by a few mm. up front you wanna stay 45 ish and out back 40 ish and this changes if you drop.

And dudeitsmattx:

you will definitely clear with a 265 no prob, probably 275 too but its tight. You got 20s and if you had 25 up front and 20 out back you would be at factory rim diameter. Your going 35 up front and 30 out back, thats what Im running w 19s and am .03 mm off (bigger) than factory 18s. So your overall rear diameter is larger so if you rub its gonna be on the inner fabric, not the fender. 48mm is about a 1/4" in further than my 40mm and im doing 275 on a 10" rear, no rubbing even in sport suspension w the ride control on. If you were on 19s I know 275 would def clear, on 20s i think it will. Either way run narrow tires, sumitomo ZR3s are inexpensive and great tires, falkens too, 452s I have now theyre nice
