Anyone have a DIY on C300 headlight painting?

That looks awesome. I wanna do it but my car is gonna look too black afterwards lol. My grill is matte black and so are my fog light rings too

The headlights are held in by (3) 8mm bolts. Once you remove those, disconnect the wiring harness going into the headlight and voila!

Do you think it will/has the Krylon held up? I am wondering if finding a high heat paint would be best because I would imagine that it gets very hot inside the headlight, only issue is high heat paint seems to have too flat of a finish, the satin imo is key.

No issues with the paint at all...just think about how much heat is inside a housing on a hot day also...

Did this mod to my Nissan titan over two years ago and haven't had any issues with the paint holding up. Wanna do the Benz next, but having a difficult time convincing my fiance who drives the car 90% of the time. Maybe I'll just do it someday when shes at work and see if she notices.

I'm thinking about doing my headlights and leaving just the low beam tunnel chrome like the 2012 light pack, what do you think of that? It might look bad on a pre-facelift headlight, I don't know. I have a C63 light in my car right now, but not sure if I like it compared to the all chrome one on the pass side.
It's funny how all the new cars are getting blacked out housings from the factory (the new SL, CLS and even the new Carrera). Merc seems to use a dark gray instead of black.
