2008 Mercedes Benz Sport C300 LED LIGHTS!!!!
Ok, I am sure this has been asked. But I called the dealer and they said I could buy 2011 LED DRL to replace my foglights on my 2008 c300. I have amg/sport package.
Does anyone know if this is true?
I am looking to replace my fogs with LED DRL without much modification and easy wiring if that is possible. Please let me know what my options are.
Also just ordered my XPIPE, when I take it to muffler shop, what do I tell them? Say I want them to replace my resonator? and what size piping to use 2.25? Thanks guys and have a good day!!!

The physical opening for the 2011 led drl is the same on the 2008-2010 sport package openings. However, I am unsure if they use the same mounting points or locations as the foglights, so some retrofitting may be required.
I got the magnaflow xpipe. It is inlet 2.25" if I recall correctly. It replaces the resonator, and needs about 4" of pipe to extend the xpipe to fit in the resonators position on each pipe run. Since we have dual exhaust you will need 8" total. Go for stainless steel. Don't get raped on the install. It should be no more than $100-$150 TOPS for the install and pipe. (they will provide the pipe).
That's all. It should be real easy. Call around and ask how much or for estimates or if they can do it. You will be able to tell the knowledgable guys from the amatures.

Hi,
I start by saying that:
to mount your kit you must disconnect the fog lights.
This process automatically determines me the error "failure fog left and right. "
Proceeding with the connection of your kit, the plug of the fog light is disconnected.
The installation was done in two different ways:
1° MODE:
1° step :
The electrician has connected the "black wire" to the machine frame to create a ground circuit.
2° step:
The "red wire" has been linked to the ignition of my car so when I turn the key, the LEDs light up.
3° step:
The "blue / white wire" ,in the manual so called "A", has been linked to the positive pole of the fog light.
Because the controller is supplied with the kit allows different modes of operation:
1st: Only DRL
2nd: DRL + POSITION LIGHT
SPECIAL BRIGHTNESS 3 ° <300 CANDELA
I chose the second option, or DRL + Position light.
4° step:
To have this option, we have connected the wire called "D " (blue), which comes from the control unit supplied, with the thread called "F".
5° step:
We have connected the "orange wire" to the positive terminal of the tail lights
With the scheme that I listed above I get the following effect:
With the scheme that I listed above I get the following effect:
When I turn the key LEDs light up in DRL mode even if the system is turned offlights.
When I turn on the lights to position the LED DRL mode decreases the brightnessand turn lights.
When I turn on the fog lights, LEDs do not increase the brightness but remain in position lamps
2° MODE:
We connected the wires is different from the first only for the 4° and 5°step:
We have connected the blue wire / with the positive pole of the tail lights
while the orange wire to the positive pole of fog light.
This last procedure, however, does not allow the LEDs to function.
After having described how to connect the kit made by my electrician, can you tell me if there is any link wrong?
And if there were, can you tell me how to fix the wire connection?
MY ELECTRIC HAS DOUBTS:
Doubts about the connection of two WIRES:
1 wire:
THE LINE BLUE / WHITE CALLED "A" IN THE MANUAL
(My electrician has connected this wire to the positive pole of the fog)
The manual says that you must connect it to the light position, but in doing so, theLED flashes quickly.
2nd wire:
THE ORANGE LINE CALLED "B " IN THE MANUAL
(My electrician has connected this wire to the positive pole of lights)
The manual says that you must connect it to the "signal light" so as to convert light toposition light drl When signal light is on.
My electrician does not interpret what the user means by the term "signal light".
Please help me!

Anyone ever figure out if this could be done?
I would like to do it to an 08 C300 sport, the ones posted above are for the luxury model. Are the ones for the sport around?

Short of an exact 2011 factory C300 look, by far, these are the best looking and the best deal for replacing your fog lamps with LED's.
I am waiting...

I contacted the shop directly that is listed above on the Ebay link. You are correct, they only have the direct replacement LED'S for the C300 Luxury bumper right now. The owner said the LED lights for the Sport bumper are already in production and should be available in a couple of months.

you guys need to realize that without a resistor or chip of some kind these will throw out the fog light out warning on your dash everytime you start your car? what I would do is unhook the bulb thats in your fogs now and see if it gives code without a bulb, I think it might not. If thats the case just tap the power and ground right from an accesory that way the DRL comes on right when your key is in ignition the same way the 2011s do. Dont hack your factory wiring, they look much better on their own, I dont like DRLs having to be on w parking lights, takes away from the look. They also have finished LED strips on ebay that you could mount right into the bumper cover that would look better and cheaper than those DRL kits. those have a bigger face plate and cover the hole in the bumper cover for a finished look instead of surface mount. you can also buy the mesh plastic used in the backing of the fog in small sheet and make it fit and mount a standard strip and install like I posted. If i didnt get a 2011 I was about to do this on my 08. I researched it well on other lighting forums
