2008 C350 Foglights burning, almost catching fire

So I was warming up my car in front of my work and I was having a smoke when I noticed smoke coming from my hood. I walked over and tried to see what it was, thinking it was my exhaust condensation creeping under my car from the wind. I look closer and see my foglights are turning brown and the smoke is coming from them! I quickly turned them off and touched the surface and it was very very soft and brown. A week latter I tried it again, and in about 10min they were smoking again and so hot that I could not even touch the surface. Any Ideas? I dont have the time at the moment to leave it at the dealership

Are they stock? If not did you replace them with to high a wattage bulb or DIY HID's?

Ya my car is completely stock. I had a taillight melt a month ago. Now both fog lights are melting. And this morning, my right driving light blew out. Also, ever since I have owned it, when I have my wipers on auto they randomly turn on when it's dry out and sometimes doesnt turn on when its raining. Do these car have allot of electrical problems?

Your voltage regulator must be putting out higher than normal voltage.

Best to have it checked asap before more damage is done.

With all these problems you're having, I highly recommend that you bring your car back to the dealer, get yourself a loaner and let them figure it out. And yes, MB has a history of electrical problems.
