Traded in my 2008 for a 2011! (Pics)

So my lease was just about up so decided to go to the dealer to take a look at the new E-Class which I didn't really like - felt too much like an old man's car so the dealer made me an offer on a new C which I couldn't refuse!

2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport
Black on Black with Burl Walnut Wood Trim
4Matic, Premium 1 Package, Multimedia (Nav), 18-inch AMG wheels, Heated Seats, Harman Kardon LOGIC7 Surround Sound System, Rear view camera, rear spoiler and panorama sunroof.

(I was a bit concerned that going from 17" to the 18" AMG wheels would make the ride more harsh but it's actually a better ride than my 2008. Seats seem softer so maybe that's it)

Basically to sum things up, they paid off my 2 remaining lease payments + got me into this new car for $88 less a month than I was currently paying! MSRP was about 6k more than my 2008 so was very happy..

Is it an actual horn tone?

The new ride looks great!

Outside of the seats, any noticeable difference in performance-ride?

A black car always looks nice when it's brand new or newly polished but a pain in the butt to maintain it's streak free shine

Congrats on your new C class... it looks like you got most of the factory upgrades in your car

Yes like you are honking your horn when you lock or unlock your car. Embarrassing but you can turn it off. Wish it had the chirping sound like before

Thanks all..

Ride seems a bit more sporty, steering has a bit more feel to it than my 2008 and returns to center much better. Still keeping it in "E" mode and not "S" as per break in requirements. Lag seems less too..

It's not the wheels; it's just a better ride. I upgraded from a 2008 to a 2011 recently too, both with 17". The seats are more comfortable and it seems that they adjusted the suspension a bit. I used to cringe anytime I had to drive on side streets in the city (very rough and bumpy) but now they're okay.

That's what I thought. I know someone with a 2011 GLK and it does the same thing. Sure is loud. I like my chirping.

Congrats on the new car. There are insane deals to be had on the 2011s because dealers are trying to get rid of their stock before the 2012s roll in

Thats a good discount. I am currently "dealing" with the sales guy but am only getting $1800 off. I am Vancouver Canada, they just don't seem very desperate to get my repeat business. I am actually ready to walk away and am looking at other brands. Test drover the S4 which is a nice too but did some reading up on the forums and they seem to have some issues.

Nice! I basically just ordered the exact same car, got a ridiculous deal on a lease, and am excited for it to show up on Saturday. Looks great man, well done!

Another thing I noticed is that my 2008 sounded like a diesel when first starting up in the morning and my 2011 doesn't have this issue at all
