Today, my wildest dreams came true...
Ive been a lowly owner of a benz for just a couple of months now. Ever since my initial purchase I have been in a relentless pursuit of increasing the performance to at least getting it close to what I had with my previous vehicle (G35). Even this last weekend I spent some time in my wifes SUV (Lexus G470) driving it thinking that it had more responsiveness than my lowly C350...WTF, right?
I can now say that my expectations and "performance" have not been met, but surpassed with the installation of the highly suspect and often ridiculed Sprint Booster today. This thing is the shiz-net! Yes, I read all the negative postings...This thing is magical...NO BS...Get if if you want to totally change your driving experience.

It electronically front-loads the accelerator pedal motion to simulate putting your foot down further/faster. The car's actual performance is unchanged.

Possibly, but it would depend on what the baseline driving style is before Sprint is installed. An already aggressive driver may notice no significant change in fuel consumption, as Sprint is now just causing that driving style to happen on every acceleration.

True dat...it is from what I understand an accelerator amplifier. I have read that is it is similar to stomping on the pedals. But the reality is that if I stomped on my pedals it could not duplicate what I am experiencing now. FWIW, I always drove my car in S Transmission mode, now I have to drive it in C mode so I dont experience whip last. I was skeptical at first, now I am a believer. In addition, I purchased the old model on fleebay for $200 vs. $300 for the newer version. I can see the value in having the newer version with the settings though...

I can attest that the Sprint Booster works. I have installed them on two Mini Coopers we own and will install on my wife's new C300 4 Matic. It will literally change your performance and my mileage hasn't altered at all.

A ECU tune AND the Sprint Booster will amaze you. With the new version you have three settings. OFF, Sport, Race. Very easy to prove to yourself that it works and works well by simply turning it off and drive for a few miles and then turn it back on. Unless your a complete fat *** the butt dyne results will convince you that it was one of the better performance purchases you made. If you don't like it they give you a 30 Day Money Back Guaranty.
You guys with the "Clutch" will be even more amazed.

Seems like a waste? I only use tiptronic when i drive the car and that gives plenty of "punch" to the car. Want more punch then just go till red line. The ecu will learn your driving habits, so just drive aggressively a lot :P

08 C350 Sport
First of all performance of C350 is adequate. It is not a fast like M3 or 335i, but it has best compromise between comfort and performance. Second, I do not trust any mods like this. On my M3 I have sport button that remaps accelerator and pedal becomes more aggressive. Honestly I rarely use it, car becomes nervous. The only performance problem I see with C350 and especially with C300 is transmissions. Both automatics are pretty bad, it never "learns" correct points, so when I turn and depress accelerator I would expect a gear shift, but nothing happens for few seconds. No matter how many time I reset transmission same thing occurs time to time. I also drove C300 and it as even worse.

Glad that glovemoney's C350 is performing to expectations with the Sprint Booster.
BUT I still think that a half-pedal-down reset of the accelerator (it s NOT the TCU) achieves the same results as the Sprint Booster.
Here is a thread, there are many others:

[[Car and Driver:our November '05 test car hit 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and covered the quarter-mile in 14.2 seconds at 99 mph. Our '08 C350 Sport achieved 60 mph in 6.0 seconds and ran the quarter in 14.6 at 97 mph. How much of the disparity is attributable to manual versus automatic? Hard to quantify, but our calculation is no more than a couple 10ths to 60.]]
Now for the OP - Damn it! It took me a month of going back in forth in my obsessive brain to finally decide NOT to buy the Sprintbooster, I read the white paper that was passed around the forum and bought into the step on it hard theory...NOW, I think I am going to go ahead an order it tonight - I have to see for myself how well this works. Everyone that has it swears by it, only those who don't (like me) are convinced it cannot be that much better than stompin it to the floor...

On the way to work in the AM there is a nice highway service road where I have been doing zero to 60 runs utilizing dynolicious. Previous best runs are in the 6.2 to 6.3 range.
Today my first run with the Sprint Booster resulted in a 5.7 (where it should be).

This discussion reminds me so much of the other Forums/BMW/Audi/Mini, where all the "doubters" had never owned the SB but had somehow figured that it just couldn't/didn't work and all the people who did own the SB were surprised how well it did work. I have no affiliation w/SB, just experience in two Mini S models I own. I will be putting it on my wife's new C4Matic. The difference is dramatic, and if you don't like it, there's a money back guaranty.

I did a 5.9 0-60 with my tune using that same app , so I would assume that the sprint booster would shave some more off . I would post a pic but im on my phone lol . Congrats on the 5.7 though that's the best number I heard for a stock 350 so far .

If u look closely at the difference between the two 0-60 times, the money maker is the early acceleration (0 to 20/30) not what happens after that. Fwiw, I read an older thread where another poster ran a 5.7 with the tune-SB combo.
