We woke up this morning to find out that our car had been side swiped by one of NYC's finest incapable cab drivers (I am sorry to all those cab drivers and/or family and friends of cab drivers on the forums, but in all honestly I have never seen a worse group drivers than these guys/gals). And please don't tell me I am passing judgement, the paint color is cut and dry taxi YELLOW - they did not have enough integrity to leave a note (no surprise there).

Needless to say our 2010 C-Class will need some body work done and I have no idea where to take it. I want the job done right and to not have deal with a lot of BS, so is there any place you guys recommend? I would like to stay either in NYC, LI, N NJ or Southern CT. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

This happened to our E class coupe. It stretched from the rear bumper to the middle of the rim. There was no structural damage. Maybe it was ayellow hummer, but a black car driver I pulled up next to looked at it once and asked if a taxi cab had done it. He then said something about putting them all in a cannon and shooting them back to pakistan... lol not my cup of tea but still lol.

Lucky for me, the attendant at the parking lot we have a monthly spot with said he'd clean it off for $20. Looks like nothing ever happened, except for two pin head sized notches that have been cleaned and touched up.

There are a TON of shops on a street in Great Neck, LI that I see doing body work on some top of the line cars (lambos, ferraris, porsches, as well as bmw/benz/audi). Forget what it was called but there is a starbucks and H-Mart where it meets Northern BLVD. It is about two or three blocks west of Middle Neck Rd.

I'll do a google search later and if I get some names we can google them and check reviews.
