Project "Make everything super black" begins! (Ebay LED tail lights inside)
k just picked up my 2011 C300 Sport on Thursday, took a crack at it for a few hours this AM, went to get my windows tinted too but the shop was really shady and some guy came in to complain about how his tint was all dicked up so I bailed and got an appt for Monday. Anyway. Took about 3 hours total (surprisingly longer than I expected) and I:
-De-Badged
-Satin black vinyl over chrome accent strip
-Tried same vinyl on benz emblem, didn't work, discovered you can just pull the badge off the car, there is no adhesive holding it down! (see pic)
-License plate smokey cover with black trim ring (I know, woo hoo)
-Plasti-dipped benz emblem (looks sweet, matches vinyl perfectly)
-Plasti-dipped exhaust tips
-Put on ebay smoked tail lights- yes you get a message when you start the car that you have a bulb out. Will report back after a couple days of driving if that drives me nuts or not. The LED's are much brighter than the factory incandescent bulbs, and the red LED turn signals look way better than the ugly amber ones.

thanks guys! Yeah I went to replace the license plate lights and noticed that the benz emblem is held in place by a compression fitting so I pushed on it from the back and it popped right out.

Got the tint done, 15% on the sides/back and 50% on the shield (which is hardly dark enough to tell, but it'll help out a ton if the car ever has to sit out in the hot *** FL sun all day

Way to have ***** and do the windshield! I wish I could do mine but in the flat light it would be "dark" to look out of living in the Northeast. Less hazards are a good thing. Plus no need to F with the cops to pull me over and harrass me.

I'm going to do the grille this week, and the sidemarkers (already have them just haven't gotten to it yet). Not going to change the suspension tho, it's a lease and that's just too much effort to un-do.
