Looks like the turbo C350 is up for sale...

Found this link when I was looking up info on a turbo kit for my C350. I would have thought that the pipe install would have been a little cleaner. Ad claims $12k in engine work. Then again, it is a used car ad. I guess if you go by the fact that they quote $1500-2k wheels and tires as worth over $4k, then the turbo install probably actually ran between $5-6k.

It's gotta be the same one. Someone needs to take that pipe to a pro metal worker and get the welds ground down and get it polished or chromed or powdercoated or something for the sake of pete.

I wonder if this car is on YouTube......

If it isn't then it should be. I don't know about those 4K rims though. Ha Ha.

There are 2 videos that I know of.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSPiiqGHQFc

http://www.facebook.com/video/video....16431608371341

I contacted the dealer for more pics but nothing yet. Different wheels in the vid but the setup looks identical. I guess the guy changed his rims. The one in the vid looked better.

That's 100 hp/torque more than I heard. It can't be on stock internals putting out those numbers. I wonder what all has been done to it.

From what I was told by the owner, he is running a GT30 turbo with 7psi. I can see 450hp but 450whp is kind of too much. On that high compression engine I can see it making 20hp per psi easily.

Looks like stovepipe from Home Depot. And where is the air cleaner? Same place as the engine warranty, I suppose.

if your referring to the airbox/filters its eliminated due to the air now being taken in through the intercooler, i really would like to see a pic of the turbo placement though, im guessing its by the resonator.

I would really love to see the turbo location too. Do you think it's a rear mount then? The guy told me it's front mount but I have no idea where they fit it. Maybe on the passenger side? Eurocharged will know best since they worked on the project.

I also apologize for the wrong info. I posted 450wheel but I just looked into my notes and it's actually 350wheel . I apologize for the wrong info. Based on the website I guess now it's making 385 on the dyno? Maybe a retune.

its a front mount turbo and im running 7 pounds of boost. i am using the stock ecu right now and it runs great. i just got it dynoed again yesturday and it 350hp to the wheels with 370 torque. thats abou as high as i can go on this ecu though. thanks again man

Its actually 385whp, around 450/460hp(18% loss in transmission) to the crank, listed on the ad that it posted 385whp on the dynojet. Im guessing they upped the PSI to around 8ish. The welding is not bad at all, its just not all fancied up and sparkling. The Turbo is most likely mounted near the resonator.

Air gets taken in thru the turbo first, and then the compressed air goes out the turbo thru the intercooler to be cooled (kinda like a radiator), then into the engine.

Some performance shops prefer that look to show they took time welding the pipe exactly how they want and it serves its function and thats all that matters to them.

not in a remote turbo set up, it spools up using back pressure of the exhaust. standard under the hood turbo set up yes your correct, hence why you see a filter on them.

yeaa if i was to guess it looks like its set up in the front under the passenger side, im only guessing bc you can see a vapor cloud being purged from the turbo after a full spool in the 2nd video you posted, but a pic would cure our curiosity :p

Remote turbos are exactly the same, air though the turbo, heads to the intercooler, then to the throttle body. They are just positioned further down the exhaust.
