Installing Bolt on CF Front Lip Instuction
Today my new CF front lip was delivered. The manufacturer specified that it was bolt on but didn't come with any hardware or pre drilled holes. I searched and most of the threads I found were people selling CF front lips, but no DIY install info. I was wondering if anyone could post some details such as how many holes to drill, whether or not I have to remove the bumper etc. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

CF Lip
I bought it off of ebay.
It got here today and it fits flawlessly but im definitely on my own here no markings or anything. I drove to a body shop earlier and they quoted me 3 hours of labor which adds up to the same price I payed for the part itself which is crazy!

3 hours of labor!?!? what are they doing it blind folded? I cant seem to load the link you posted but i installed my CF lip the other week and i used 8 screws, 2 on each far side, 2 in the middle a couple inches apart from each other, then 1 on each side between the middle screws and the far left/right ones. idk which lip you have but this should be more than enough to avoid sagging.

Were you able to bolt it on without removing the front bumper? The shop was giving me the story how it takes an hour to remove the bumper, then an hour to install the lip, and then another hour to reattach the bumper... Seems to me like it should be a quick install I'm trying avoiding the auto shops at all costs.

Use 3M double side tape to hold it on place, make sure you center it, then drill 6 1/4" holes and bolt it down.
Tools needed
Cordless drill
¼” drill bit
3/8 wrench
Hardware needed
3M double side tape
6 ¼” bolts and nuts ½” long with washers

If you dont have access to a lift this is what you do
find a spot w a high curb like a parking lot or ur driveway, preferebly concrete so car doesnt settle. Bring a friend.
Just like above 3m double sided tape and the hardware listed. Park your car up on the sidewalk w ur buddy watching so the front end hangs as much over as possilbe onto street or lower walkway. Now you have tons of room to drill and work on it. Install as posted above. Or use car ramps w a block of wood for support so no roll back. really simple. 3m double sided tape is key

One caveat to what jimmy suggests.... be careful as that might be a good way to initiate your brand new front lip to her first scrape (which you'll eventually get anyways).
You can also try what my friend did on the cheap, use 2x4 blocks. Home Depot will let you cut blocks with their tools so all you need are two step blocks (one longer base block and one shorter one on top in the middle). Nail the two blocks together with the base block extending past the top step block on both ends allowing for a kind of pyramid step. This way you can drive up over it, install your lip, then continue driving forward once done so you won't risk damaging your new lip. Just make sure the height of the block steps is not higher than your sideskirts

The easiest way to put the car on blocks without the risk of damage any body part is by lifting the car with the jack, place the blocks under the tire and lower the jack fallow the same procedure for both sides and don’t forget to set the parking brake.

AZN and tanktube make good points. be careful but the easy way is basically to get some room under the front of the car to work on it and get behind it to bolt. having a extra set of hands is key to

yup, putting her on jack stands is by far the best and safest way to go.

When you did the install, did you have to drill through both layers of plastic or did you find a clever way to drill the holes?
I am referring to the area behind the carbon fiber where its hollow, seems like the only way to drill a hole is go through both.
