So the person I contacted at RME said the following:

"I am only showing that this will fit the W203 earlier model C class cars. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks
Andy"

Back to square one? Or is he misinformed?

2011 C300 4Matic Sport
Hello,

I have a new 2011 C300 4Matic Sport, and had a similar issue with the alignment. The vehicle, though, was never modified. When I was driving on a straight, flat road, and let the steering wheel go to its natural position, the car would drive straight, but the wheel would actually hang to the left several degrees. It was really annoying, and for me, especially when I was on straight highway stretches, took the fun out of driving. I originally brought it to a dealer in Pennsylvania, but when I picked up the car, the issue had not improved at all. To my dismay, the Service Manager told me that he, the shop foreman, and the technician all drove the car, and that they all felt that the steering wheel was straight. We then moved to New Jersey, and I brought the car to a dealer there. I took the shop foreman for a ride when I arrived, and we must have been on a tilted road, because for the first time ever, the steering wheel was straight!!! He must have thought I was crazy. Luckily, though, further down the road, the wheel did its normal thing and started hanging to the left. (I actually asked the foreman to sit in the back seat directly behind me for the test drive so that he had the same vantage point as me!) He more or less agreed with me that the wheel was not straight. Then, he suggested something that I thought was really smart. We went back to the service bay, and he hooked the car up to his diagnostic computer while I was still in the driver's seat. This computer system can actually measure the position of the steering wheel down to .5 degrees. He then asked me to center the wheel, which I did (with the engine running, of course). He told me that the system was registering a position of 4.0 degrees! Everything started to click for me at that moment. I asked him if he agreed it was centered, and he said that he agreed. He then grabbed onto the wheel and moved it to the position that caused the computer to register a 0.0 degrees position. In that position, the wheel hung to the left, and was in the exact same position as it always was in its natural position driving down a straight highway. I then asked the foreman if he agreed that the wheel was off-center, and he did. So, what the foreman ended up doing was have the technician align the car with a steering wheel position of 3.5 degrees. (He asked me to center the wheel once more, and that time it came out to 3.5 degrees instead of 4.0). I picked up the car, and now the alignment is beautiful! So, I would definitely suggest the same approach when you get your car aligned. I can't say anything about the pulling, though, as that is a problem that I have not yet encountered.

Thank you for the reply! I'll ask my SA about this as well. Although I'm not sure if they would be kind enough to let me sit in the car as they adjust it. But I guess you never know.

Anyways, I found a new part number for the bolts that supposedly do fit the W204. They are as follows: 0003331071 and 0003330971. Supposedly there's little difference from the 09 and 10s but I can't really chime in on that. I'll update this as it develops. I'm still out of the country until August so I won't have any luck here

OK - Some more research from EPC.

W203 original bolt p/n - carried over from the W220 S Class.

110 A 220 333 01 71 SCREW
FOR ADJUSTING WORK ONLY
M14X1.5 002

160 A 220 333 01 71 SCREW
FOR ADJUSTING WORK ONLY
M14X1.5 002

W204 bolt p/n

220 A 000 333 03 71 SCREW
FOR ADJUSTING WORK ONLY 002

320 A 000 333 03 71 SCREW
FOR ADJUSTING WORK ONLY 002

This is the bolt we all use both sides of the pond - same as listed by RMeuropean - so it certainly fits the bush. The only question could be over length.

A 000 330 00 18

My service manager tells me they are all the same & cover multiple models as do the bushes. splinter's C32 has W204 bushes fitted in the hope that they last longer. W203 & 204 have many interchangeable parts.

I don't know if this helps. My service Manager is a good guy - works for MBSA & is usually correct. (MBSA owns the dealership)

Hi I have been unable to locate the bolt at that website, also would the same bolt work with a 2009 Mercedes C230?
