Is this normal?
I noticed that the dash doesn't show up any warning signs for doors that are not shut properly, is this the same as everyone else??

My 2011 C shows everything. If one door is not closed to the second latch, the entire speedometer face will turn red with some warning wording. I think it even shows which door is not secured. If the rear seat back is not secured, some warning will show up.
I will try leaving the gas filler door open to see if I get warning message. I wish I can't even start the car...

Does that warning come on while the car is stationary? I tried mine with both front doors open while rolling the car at low speed and nothing appeared on my dash, not even the seat-belt warning sign (which had only appeared after i shut the driver side door). I'm thinking maybe I should experiment in a different speed

I tried key in position 2, no warning at all. It's my weekend car so will try at low speed tomorrow.

From the owners manual, see graphic. However I just attempted to get the multifunction display to activate the message, but couldn't. (Car was in gear with door ajar, but not at sufficient velocity to activate the door locks). Perhaps the warning appears only when driving at sufficient speed to activate door locks, which triggers the display warning. My DD shows a door ajar symbol even when parked and engine off though.

in my 2008 and 2011 the reminders (for "door left open" and footbrake left on) only come on after the car is up to a little speed, more then rolling speed, i am guessing 5km/hr or so. So it does come on in the dash but I wish it was designed to come on sooner then that.

Just tested it out again today, the warning came up after the car was going 10km/hr or more, but while the car is stationary with engine off, my DD only shows the mileage done

I also tested it.
I closed driver door only to the first latch and backed out of the garage. No warning. Started drive at low speed but not sure of the MPH, and the whole meter face turned red with the open driver door sign showing up.
Took seat belt off when driving, audio warning every 4 seconds with red seat belt sign blinking in the temperature gauge area.
Left the fuel filler door unlocked but not open all the way, no warning at all.
When driving, pressed the parking brake down, not even to the first notch, the meter face turned red saying something like parking brake is on...
C300 gives more warnings than any of my other cars. The whole face red warning is the best, nobody will miss that warning. I wish the fuel filler door has warning too (someone please verify if I missed the warning on this).
