How do you think these wheels will look on a C300 and will they fit?

How do you think these wheels will look on a C300 and will they fit?

Hi,

I know these wheels are older, and so they might look weird, but I have always loved them, (mainly the larger 18s from the old S55 AMGs), so if I get a W204 I might want to get a set and maybe powder coat them black or leave them, and put em on!

The stock 4matic wheels are 17x7.5 could it handle wheels that are an inch wider? these are 17's, not staggered 17x8.5 an inch wider, they also have an offset of 30mm, which I think is almost like a built in wheel spacer, which I would like a lot:

And, the C300 would be a 4MATIC, and I understand that staggered wheels could be a problem, is this true? These are staggered 18's, 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear, will these work? Much wider wheels...but my favorite.

Could you tell me if one of these would fit?

Thanks

the first set of wheels u posted will not fit, they would only fit w a real narrow tire like a 215/40/17 and it wont have enugh tire to look right, the offset is too low, u would need a +35 minimum to clear on turns. plus they are remanufactured so they were probably curb rashed or bent and fixed then powder coated, for a thousand u can get nice new ones

the second wheels will fit no problem, whatever tire size u prefer for ur look. They are remanufactured as well, if they were in good shape they wouldnt have been re-powdercoated if they werent. they have a higher offset so u are fine w those.

The W204 MB's need a higher offset, we have a wider than usual wheelbase on this frame, the newest E class does as well, those wheels fit ours too.

personally all those wheels are old school, a little too old for these cars. I have 2 sets of brabus 6 wheels, one set chrome and one black centers and chrome lips. They look really good for old school wheels, but they are timeless. If you look on Brabus website they sport the brabus w204's they sell w them still today, certain timeless wheels can carry over. its your taste. If you like old school wheels there are plenty around for good prices, just make sure u get good straight taken care of wheels, not reman stuff off of ebay.........

Hey

thanks for the info, yeah I know they are old school but I have always been a fan, figured I'd try them out some day if possible.

As far as the first one not fitting, no big deal as I prefer the second ones, but how do you gauge what the lowest offset is with the given wheel width? Does it require high offset because the wheels are wider then the stock ones?

And for the second wheels, do you know if staggered wheels are okay on 4matic cars?

by the way, what is the offset on the regular stock wheels?

thanks

I'd be curious to see how they look on a 204, but yeah, first set has too low offset so you'd have to go with the second set. And it's a balancing act between offset, width, and size, but generally you'll want to stick with mid 40s to low 50s for offsets for 204s.

but, as I mentioned on your other post to the "other" forum, the bolt pattern is wrong on the second set. Make sure you get 5-112.

Yup, thank you, it's a shame that both of these wheel styles don't fit. I think they might of looked cool, maybe powdercoated black, they are such a simple design it's almost hard for the average person to tell they are older.

I used these for my winter tires; they come in staggered sizes (17 + 18 inch):

They are of a similar design, and they fit

Not bad, do you happen to have a picture with them on? And do you have 4matic?

Sorry Dude, your car, your wheels... But to spend $1000 on those would be a travesty!

ETA: Ooops.... I didn't know the second set was the same as the first only an inch bigger. So thank God for bolt patters too
