Instrument Cluster in 2009 C300

I've driven some 2011 C300 loaners and I see that the Instrument Cluster displays the Tire Pressures (numbers next to each wheel). My 2009 C300 merely says Tire Pressure OK, and allows me to set existing Tire Pressures as reference.

Does anybody know if there is a way to have the instrument cluster on my car show the pressure readings, or is it just not available for this MY?

Also, is there a way to:
  • Have the instrument cluster show temperatures in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit?
  • Have the instrument cluster (bottom-right) show speed in Miles/Hr instead of KM/Hr? (Every where else, the speed is shown in miles; except the bottom right which shows temperature by default. It can be toggled to show speed, but that only shows KM/hr.)

The two items in the list are common to both my 2009 and the 2011 loaners.

I'd look up my driver's manual / MB Book, but I don't have one right now - the dealership is ordering one for me.

Hmmm, I've seen the Tire Pressure readings in two different loaners so far. One was a C300 Luxury (with Sport Grille), the other was a C300 Sport. Neither had the premium package.

Not sure about the tire pressure, but I know you can change the temp/speed units in the menu somewhere... I'll look on way home and post instructions if no one else has.

thats cause your car is australian, different models for different countries. In US ALL 2010 and 2011 have the newer display, and the 2011 also moved the ESC traction button off the dash into the cluster. U can get ur 2009 to do this, you need a cluster out of a 2010 car and fit into your 2009. It is same plugs and all, u can find them on ebay. The sensors for 2008-2009 in the tires is a diff part # than 2010-2011 but it is same sensor w different part #, I have my 2008 wheels on my 2011 right now and it reads the PSI just fine.....

Hrrrm, well. On my 2008 I can only manage to find the option to switch the temp readout to a speed in kilometers per hour.

It was in Settings>Instrument Cluster then just toggle the temp/KPH

Yup, same thing I found.. Can't change the UOMs.. neither the temp, nor the speed. I can just toggle between temp (F) and speed (km/h).. Interesting oversight..

Here's a follow-up question: has anyone purchased a map update from their MB dealer? How much does it cost? Also, it doesn't look like my car has a DVD/CD for navigation. Perhaps it's loaded on to the hard disk? (2009 C300 P1)

And how on earth do I store music on the hard disk. The previous owner has a ***** Cat Dolls album stored on it, and I'm not sure if he used the SD/PCMCIA card to copy it or used another method.

I did- graduated back in 2007. Kept the handle though since it's easy to remember and I've used it on many other forums. What's your major?

Always nice to cross paths with a fellow Knight.
