!Help! Want to buy a 2011 c300. Good Deal?

Hi everyone,

Im located in Houston Tx. I want to purchase a MB c300 but i really want to get a good deal and its going to be my first MB so i want to make the right descision before i sign anything.

Well heres the car i looked at

mercedes c300 sport
black on black MB tex
Options:
Premium Package 1
Chrome handle inserts
Luxury Sedan Styling package
Multmedia Package Command
7 speed Transsmision

MSRP $41,560

They knockout $4k on a preferres customer discount

now im @ $37,560 + Taxes Tittle and all fees $2,688

so the BALANCE DUE is $ 40,248

Now heres comes the offer i got.

If i quilified for the special @ 2.90% APR for 66 months and with a 4k down my payments every month would be $595 . Is it a good deal? or im paying more? .. This is the quote from a mercedes dealer.

Please help for all yall that have this car. thanks.

Make sure you ask for all your discounts you my have like Costco and usaa and so on. And I just got mine in may for 38 out the door with 1 yr more 100000 ext warranty and the tires for life plan. Mine is a 2011 sport white with pano mm p1 black mbtex with the 18 in amgs. You have to remember the 2012 facelift is only a few months away some may have one on the lot to show already to

You are aware that a very significant facelift is just around the corner right? I can't comment on the specific deal, but personally I would only get a 2011 C at this point if the deal makes me cry.

If its 4K off the car pure (no conquest or MBF loyalty in there) thats a pretty good price. There is a declining number of C class models around and facelift or not I am having people buy new C300s because they prefer the smoother delivery of a V6 but do not want to shell out the extra cash for the C350 when it comes out.

the only thing the new C is good for is its interior. I can't stand the new look. It tries to be a mini SL but fails and just looks like a 3 series sedan with MB styling.

If one must buy a 2011, it may still be a better idea to wait just a tad bit until the dealerships start rolling in the 2012s officially with a bang. They're bound to have some 2011s left over, and the prices for those babies will very likely take a hit.

They'd more likely get rid of the inventory completely rather then have new 2011's still on the lot (i.e ship back or use as loaners for themselves or enterprise/hertz). I got my 2011 for 33 OTD vs the 41 OTD I would've had to pay. Just haggle a little more or try speaking to one of the sales directors vs the salesmen. If they're still trying to hit quotas the director will give you way more incentive then what the salesmen can. (AMEN David Chao of Smythe European)

All good advice. I would wait a little longer till say the end of September to find another. They are out there and by then there will be some major good deals going down. 1 October is usually the cut off for the old stuff to be gone.

longer you wait, less choice you have so you have to take whatever is left. If you don't care too much of what packages and options and colors, the later the better.

They say in general, 2011 Cs are over stocked. Hope you can get a very good deal and still have many choices.

You're right about the less choice part. Your choice will be limited to the handful they have in stock...

8k knocked off! You, my friend, are a good negotiator - perhaps I should take some negotiation training from you when I go buy my next car (likely to be a GLK or M for my wife).

Mine was more than that!!! And what I used as a base was Costco pricing then subtract 3000 that is the price anyone that does any research should get. I use Costco cause it gives you the price for the options and you don't have to be a member to use there build a car web page only to buy the built car. And the 3000 comes from that's about what the volume discount the dealership gets so the larger/ higher saleing get more

Hmm, such insight...I have been in the auto business for 10 years and worked for large, midsize and small dealers for a variety of brands...all dealers pay the same, no matter what or a small dealer could sue the MFR for providing dealer X an extra kickback purely for performance. Its written in the dealer agreements and I worked for one of the largest VW dealer groups in the western region and we were accused of it once and had to open up the books to the smaller dealer, and they walked away with their tail between their legs because all dealers play from a level field. If you are going to post info here, at least make it useful.

Sorry I all I was trying to say and let see if I can put it into the right words the larger dealers have more room to lose on a car cause more offen or not people come in and pay sticker and some also lose a little and hope to make it up on the service side. For example put in what you want in msn auto and then you will get emails from Internet sales people from different dealerships at different prices and sometimes it's the same car were they will trade another dealership but the 9 out of 10 the local one will go alittle lower in hopes you service with them. And that one point is them clearing old models or trying to make there sales for the month
