35W, 4500k or 5000k?
before any1 asks, yes ive searched!
im trying to find pics of 4500k HIDs and 5000k HIDs. want to order one of these kits for my c300 (non xenon). which color looks closet to stock xenons? i had 6000k in my old scion tC and they looked like the bmw lights so i always thought 6000k was wat MB, BMW, Lexus, etc.. was putting in their lights but then people told me it was 4500k. so can any1 clarify and show some pics of 4300(4500) vs 5000k?

OEM Bi-xenon is 4300K, but it's not a pure white. 5000K is more of a pure white and looks better without getting into blues.

i just want whats gonna match the led strip that came on my c300 sport lol...so if thats 4500k i want to get that, if its 5000k ill get that. i doubt its 8000k cuz i had 6000k on my tC and that was too blue for me.

from what I've learned is that every kit is a little different what might be 8000 with one brand will be closer to 6000 with another. just gotta look for pics and go off that. but mike (anz) knows what he's talking about so Id listen to him.

The LED strip is more 4300K from what I've seen. I haven't put it up to a spectrometer to measure, but that's what my eyeball test tells me. As such, 5000K will actually look whiter and make the LED strip look pale white/yellowish. It might not look that way now, but when you have 5000K in comparison, it should be pretty obvious.
Edit: just realized you're talking HIDs and not LED temps, so removed the eyebrow part.

so is it the projectors that take away the yellowish tint for the 4500k bulbs and give it a blueish tint when u quickly look at it? i wanna look as stock as possible...and it looks like stock xenons have a blue tint to them but i think thats due to the projector and not the HID, correct?

I have 4500k aftermarket HIDs and I installed the oem LED strips. the headlights are much bluer when warming up, but after they are hot it is a very close match. 5000k wouldnt be all that much different.

I don't know if its the bulbs or the projectors but its way to blue and I can't see anything. Im directly behind a car and it doesn't even light up his license plate and the road looks blue!

True 5000K is pure white. However, HID kits are a range, not an exact kelvin rating. I know you went with HIDExtra, but not sure how HIDExtra kits run... it could be 4000K-5000K, 4500K-5500K, or 5000K-6000K. My guess it's closer to the latter if you're seeing blue.

Search for pic of the kit with the temp you want before ordering. Hopefully you can find a high quality pic and you can see if it's the right one. Or you can always go with azn optics. I'm sure he has tons of pics of his product.

AZN, let me ask u this...if i order new bulbs from DDM instead of a whole new kit, should that suffice? or do i need new ballasts too?
i was thinking about getting the 35w 4500k kit....
or should i get a 55w 5000k kit? (that should be similar to a 35w 4500k kit right)?

If you're on stock halogen, you can't just plug in HID bulbs. You'll need a full kit.
