Deep 10mm Socket for rear bumper cover removal

I need to remove my rear bumper cover. Well, when I went to remove it last weekend I found there are these STUPID long studs with a 10mm nut attatching the middle of the bumper cover . You can see these by removing the hard plastic trunk panel (where the striker is). Problem is it looks like I would need a 4 or 5 inch DEEP 10mm socket to remove these.

Does anyone know where to find a socket like this? There is a tool listed in the WIS system. But the Merc dealer told me they don't sell tools.

Use a 10mm crows foot with extensions if you cant find a deep socket

This is not a typical 10mm deep socket. The stud is at least 4 to 5 inches in length.

Thanks for the Google tutorial though.

Yes, the pass through sockets are surprisingly useful, inexpensive and when you need one it's great to have ...

Unfortunately, that won't work in this bumper as there is only a small hole to get the socket into. Your sockets look great, but it appears the handle would have to go into the hole and that isn't going to happen.

Drill out the end of a 10mm socket and weld it to another extending the depth. Use jbweld if you don’t have a welder.

Buying a $15 socket trumps the cost of the welding unit if you looking for a simple solution.
