It's all in the prep...
I am going to do the inserts in the seats though...I was think of getting the Mercedes symbol and underneath it C350 embroidered on the top panel of the front backs, but I'm not sure I want to do that or not yet...
here's the driver's rear door panel...one down three to go...
btw, don't mind my crappy iphone pics...I'll take some better ones when I get my camera back...I loaned my Nikon D80 to a friend for a wedding...

I did use an adhesive. It's a contact adhesive that we use for vinyl tops. You can look it up under landau top adhesive. There's some good stuff made by Welwood but the new stuff I have holds better. I'm not sure who the new stuff is made by.
I prep the door by first taping everything that's not gonna be covered. Then I take 100 grit sandpaper and sand the area that's gonna be covered real good. Then I clean that area with a clean rag and SEM Solve. And then it's ready to cover. Sanding gives the adhesive more surface area to adhere to and the SEM Solve gets rid of the debris, oils, and impurities that might be on the surface. It makes the surface to where it has the most adhesion. Lacquer thinner and mineral spirits will actually pull oils and impurities from inside the vinyl and leather to the surface and make it worse. Don't use lacquer thinner or mineral spirits on upholstery. It's not good in any way.

I'm debating on whether to get the Mercedes symbol and underneath it 'C350' on the upper panel on the front backrests. I think it might be too much.
