Are you the same person who was looking at another C-Class at a Lexus dealership a month or so ago? Funny that you keep finding Benzes at Lexus dealerships.. lol

Price based on specs and miles sounds fine to me, but have you looked at the Carfax yet? (How many owners, history, etc.). Also, be sure you get it looked at by a local MB dealership or an Euro car mech to make sure everything is good. Check if there are service records. Also, are there are any cosmetic defects? Sometimes the pictures that the dealer takes make the car look better than when you see it in person.

Good luck.

yep, that was me. i reviewed the carfax, and it's clean (1 owner) and just came back from the pre-purchase inspection and it checked out. however, the mb dealership recommended a transmission and brake flush. lexus agreed to take care of it.

What's the warranty situation? Depending on when the first owner bought it, the factory warranty might be running out soon. I'd make sure you look into warranty options (not sure if you can get an extended warranty from MB dealer since you're not the first owner - someone here should have an answer; if that's not an option, then look into a third party warranty).

If you're going to spend the money to buy an MB, I strongly recommend you get a warranty to protect your investment. Try to get one that your MB dealer has worked with, and one that keeps your deductible to a minimum (or 0).

Youre in the DC area - check out American Service Center Used cars - http://www.justmercedes.com/used-inventory/index.htm

Get a comparison for a used MB at an MB dealer. Might be able to haggle between both dealers and get an even better deal.

Personally at almost 40k miles and it being nearly 25k it seems a bit high.

Another round of ICE
I wonder about how the car found it's way there. It is possible the first owner simply did not care for the Germanic nature of the Benz and wanted the cushy isolation of Lexus. Or, it is possible that car gave them some reliability issues, and Lexus is also best known for sheer reliability. I would ask to see the documentation which shows the origin of the car (was it traded in or did the Used Car manager buy it wholesale for his inventory?) and ask to contact the former owner, in addition to taking the VIN and asking the nearest MB dealer if they recognize it and what service has been done, as most would likely have been under warranty.

Damn, my 65K mile '09 is soooo not going to be a worthwhile trade in.

It is a desirable model though... white w/ black roof, p1, p2, mm.

Agreed, very costly to repair if need be. I bought my 08 and the factory warranty was up in February, went ahead with purchase and got an aftermarket Zurich warranty through the dealership I purchased from, also had Zurich on my 03 WRX and 06 C230.
