19" rims on c350
Can someone help me with some information.. I currently have a 2008 C350 and one of my rims got cracked and other 2 bent.. I am not about to buy the same ones which cost an arm and a leg, i've decided to get the 19" c63 replicas from oemwheels+. Would the 19s fit on the c350 without rubbing? I live in NY so the roads are not that great here.. What kind of tires are suitable for ny roads? I searched the forum but i don't have much knowledge on tires and offsets which don't ring any bell for me.. I just don't want rubbing on a fully occupied car, with not the lowest profile which would get my rims cracked or bent again.. here is the rim information.
Rim Width: 8.5 and 9.5
Bolt pattern: 5X112
Hub Bore: 66.6
Offset: 45
Rim Diameter: 19
Rim structure: one piece
Hopefully these aftermarket rims are strong just like the original.
Thank you to anyone that leads me to the right direction.

those wheels will not rub at all fully loaded or not. The offset is high enough to run full width tires. The OEM size for 9.5 is 275/30/19 if you want straight sidewalls, 245/35/19 for 8.5 The majority of us here are running 235/35 front and 265/30 rear for that slight stretched look, I also run 225/35 up front and 255/30 on another set of staggered for a more stretched tire look. Basically the more stretch u have the lower the profile appears from a distance, make the rims look bigger, tires look more like rubber bands lol. If you want maximum protection go with the 275/245 setup and get tires with bead protection, for instance cooper zeon has large bead protectors, I have a set on 1 of my staggered wheels and they are fat on the bead. Whenever u go 19" on these cars u have to play pothole dodge, its a must. If you wanna be safer on bad roads go 18" wheels, you can go 40 up front and 35 out back, much more tire. My first C in 2008 I got 18's first and still bent 2 wheels on these crappy jersey roads, its just the cost of looking good

thanks for the input.. does the car feel much more harsh on 19s? is oemwheels+ rims much weaker than stock? oemwheels+ say they meet or exceed every industry standards, which includes TUV,DOT,ISO,VIA,and JWL.. I try not to believe everything i read, so would like to know if anyone used this company before.

ask yourself if you want to drop it or leave it stock. then determine your tire size which is important. finally how flush do you want your ride to look if drop to reduce rubbing. determine your offset. the average offset is 45 front and 50 rear. either way, everything depend on how you like your ride to look.

its not what I would call harsh, it actually drives and handles much better than stock with aftermarkets. The bad thing is when u hit potholes or big bumps, u feel more of the road, there is less tire there than stock. Most of the wheels out there are JWL certified and close to OEM quality. Its all what u wanna spend, I have found u kinda get what u pay for in terms of quality. If you r really worried go 18s, its just like a stock ride, if you r willing to be xtra careful go 19s. either way it will look good, I think 18s are fine on these cars, I have a set of OEM amgs and a set of brabus reps in 18 and like them both

picking out which rims to get just got harder.. maybe you guys can help me out with the decision..
Oemwheels only has 19s that will fit and those are the c63 replicas.. and is priced 699 shipped.
Bekkers got the 18s cl65 II that is more expensive at 994.99 plus i probably have to pay for shipping. now the 18s tires are cheaper compared to the 19s, by like 300 bucks so at the end it will come out similar.. here are the links for the wheels, if you guys were me, and live in ny with potholes what would you guys do. Would you guys still say hell with them potholes and get 19s or get the 18s and sacrafice the look,

I do have 19inch on stock for a long time and it has not been a harsh ride compare to the stock 17. the only harsh thing was the bumpy road i use to have to ride on. you will have a slight heavier feel but not by much. all depend on the weight of your rims too but nothing to worry about.

what brand of tires are u thinking of ordering? that makes a difference. If your going standard size tires, front will be 235/40/18 and the rear will be 265/35/18 for the 18s u posted links to. If your going skinny tires you could go 275/35/18 and 245/40/18 for max sidewall height, if your really worried about potholes and not so much the low profile look go wider. Any which way u will clear NO PROBLEM with that offset as long as u dont drop the car. I think 265/235 is a good compromise on 18s, makes it look like lower profile and is still a full tire barely any stretch at all. I will look for u real quick on ebay, thought I have seen those same wheels cheaper than 997

contact the seller and see if he can get u staggered in this wheel, much cheaper than the ones u linked to. If your car is black then definitely get the machine/black background wheels somehow, the gunmetal doesnt look great w a black car, all other colors it looks good. I didnt search too good maybe someone else has them in staggered in black. Also PM powerwheelspro and ask vassili, hes got alot of wheels he can get too. Ur better off with a sponsor who will back up his product. Try all those and see what happens

For tires, thats one thing i don't cheap out due to high speed driving + cornering.. thats probably why i cracked and bent my rims in the first place.. Looks like after i get some new shoes i gotta calm down a bit,.. The tires im looking at are michelin ps2 all season ones or the conti DWS... but the DWS im kinda worried cause the sidewalls are too weak.. I got loaner cars with conti and got a lot of eggs on the tires without me going over crazy potholes.. for the michelin i got a cracked rim, + bent rims without the tires getting egged or blown out. maybe if there are other excellent tires like the michelins but cheaper i might consider it.. What tires are you using? i need all seasons cause in ny it snows heavy like 3-5 times per season..

For concave look to be decent (such as in pic) does one need to go 19" ?
I really like this look.
I'm pretty sure these in the pic are 19.
