the best aftermarket LED tail lights you are looking for?
I saw this on eBay and I think it's one of the best aftermarket LED tail lights I have seen so far.
It has LEDs above AND below the middle backup/turn signal strip (the other aftermarkets only have LED either on the top or bottom strip, but not both) making it a full LED tail light (excluding the backup lights), and the turn signal LEDs are amber instead of red.
The only issue is that it's pricey at about $350 plus almost $200 in shipping (from Australia).
What do you think of it?

But y'all are correct. $200 is a deal breaker.

It's a bulb change. It does not change the outward appearance of the lens, so all the functions remain in the same position and the lens keeps the same design, but the lit areas light up with that characteristic "snapping" on/off of LEDs. The reverse light is a brighter white.

This is the answer to that very same question that I posed to them.
"Hello:
Thanks very much for contact us.
We have them in stock now and ready for express, you won't have error code for dash
Best Regards
Thanks for visiting Mars Performance P/L"

They are cheaper now it seems:

$325 + $70 for shipping. I might order them, they look really nice.

I have a set to install but they won't be on the car till early May. They are in my pile of stuff, I did buy a pair of LED reverse bulbs as well from AZN Optics.
I did test them and they do not throw codes.
I will post pics when I get them put in.

Those are 7507 bayonet bulbs. The one with the pins lined up across from each other are 1156 bayonet bulbs. Those are basically just a key to lock the bulb in place.

I have a set on my car, but I don't have any pics yet. There are a few members here who either have those on currently or have had them in the past. xXHotelCrazyXx has them on his car here https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-out-w204.html
I am getting error messages on my dash from the these lights, but it's not really that big of a deal for me, and I'm working on getting rid of them by soldering in some resistors and see if that works.

So, today my girlfriend was driving behind me and said that the upper section of the tail lights were not lighting up. I had her get in the car and sure enough, nothing. Brake lights/tail lights work, turn signals and reverse lights work, but the top part does nothing. Are they supposed to come on with the brakes?

I just noticed that the AZN optics LED bulbs that I have for my main running brake lights display a really crooked light pattern when shining through the lens housing...
it is very unsightly and looks like something is seriously off or aftermarket...
I am hoping they look better with my new 2012 tails, or else I will be selling them...
the reason they do this, is because the OEM tails were designed for regular standard bulbs....
the problem is, when you add an LED bulb, there are many different points of light coming from each SMD chip, and all of these light points refract in different directions through the lens, causing what looks to be a crooked light pattern when viewed from the outside....
I only noticed this recently when a friend of mine asked, "dude, why is your tail light pattern all weird and crooked"
has anyone else noticed this?
Is this just the tradeoff you must deal with? More Brightness vs Ugly LED refraction pattern?
Mike, any ideas???

I agree with you there. I don't like putting leds in a "jeweled" part of a taillight. They only really look best when that part of the lens is crystal clear.
