Going to powder coat my wheels and plasti dip trim

http://gallery.me.com/d_gonzalez#100010/IMG_1700

what do you guys think about doing this to my 2010 c300 4-matic
I live in PA, i've called a few places and the one place quoted me 400 buck to get the tires unmounted, powder coat my rims, and mount the wheel back up.
i was thinking getting the wheels black.

Then i was thinking about plasti dip all the chrome trims, back emblem and grill, I'm still debating on just keeping the front grill star chrome.

I want some change In the look of my car and right now i just can't spare cash on new rims and tires.

any comments would be nice.

Try blackout tape for the chrome a little more work, but the end result is cleaner. Pastidip will fade in a few months.

I would get it professionally color matched by a shop

on a side note, I tried vinyl taping the chrome yesterday and it is hard!!

Please do not waste your money on powder coating those stock rims black - they are going to look smaller and your car will not look better than it currently does....you will second guessing yourself forever and wishing you had that 4 large back in your pocket...

Hey bro, no hard feeling. I think the C300 stock wheel looks so ugly. I honestly think even my c250 wheel looks better. I will suggest u to put that 400 toward new wheel

I hear you guys. I really do want new rims, i guess i'll have to just save my lunch money and wait till i can afford new rims and tires.
that blackout tape seem ilke too much. I finished up plasti dipping my grill minus the Star. I will stop there. it will look good but who knows how long thats even going to last.
I might end up just getting it professionally painted once the plasti dip starts to peal off.
