wife locked the key in the trunk, can I remotely help her to open it?
My wife just called, she locked the key in the trunk, I'm at work now so is there any way to remotely help her to open the trunk? Thanks.
She used to drive another car which is not allowed to lock the car without pressing the lock button if a key is detected inside the car, so I won't blame her.

use the cell phone trick and see if it works
call your wife on her cell from your cell.
press the the unlock on your key(holding it near your cellphone)
make sure she's about a foot away from the car door when you do the above.
dont know if it's a myth, but worth giving it a try.

It happened to me once.... won't make that mistake again. Lucky I don't carry a man-purse - LOL. It happened that my remote keys along with my iphone were put into a pocket of my golf bag and sure enough, placed the clubs into the truck and closed the truck door, it locked. By then too late... had to go get the spare remote from the office.
... best you do the same partner.

I have securely taped a spare key under the car body work to use in these circumstances. Have done for 45 years.
In the unlikely event of anyone dodgy finding it , they can only pinch what is in the car . They cannot steal the car.
I have organised this in my childrens cars & they have been bailed out regularly !!

Had this happen to me once while taking something heavy out of the trunk.
Doors were already locked so as soon as that trunk shut. Beep-Beep-Beep.
Doesn't Mercedes have a remote unlock assist??? I feel like I've heard it as an option when calling their help line.
