'09 C350 Contrast side mirrors
Hey all,
I have a red C350 and wanted to update the side mirror covers. Instead of doing red, however, I was thinking about doing them in either black or silver

I'm coming from a B6 Audi S4 where the mirrors are chrome and I always liked the contrast. Has anyone done this on their C? Any pics or opinions on how it'd look?

For a red car I would go with black or carbon fibre mirror covers.
Silver or chrome would stand out too much and look a little out of place on a red car IMO.
I have the optional OEM chrome mirrors. I wanted to do something a little different but not stand out too much and on my silver car I could get away with it. I think silver (and maybe white) is the only color that the chrome doesn't too bling. My previous car (which was also silver) I also had the mirror covers replaced with chrome ones.
I just ordered the newer arrow style aftermaket mirror covers in chrome which I can't wait to get it installed.
Maybe you should look into getting getting those in black or red. They look much nicer than the 2010+ OEM arrow style mirrors.
A lot of members here have been raving about it and a good bang for your buck:

+1 on the black finish
The audi mirrors do appear to be more matte or satin than a pure silver. Lovely, really.

I agree that the Audi mirrors had a really nice finish that wouldn't be replicated by the silver mirrors. I think if I do this it'll be the black mirrors. My windows are tinted and once I black out the grill, it might look pretty sick.
