c300 - 20 inch rims vs stock 17 inch

I'm about to buy some lexanis lss55 20inch for my 2009 c300 4matic 20x8.5 front and 20x9.5 rear.
tire dimensions are 225/35/20 front and 245/30/20 rear.

simple questions. 1-should i buy them or stay with stock? 2-will they rub? 3-would the suspension have an effect while driving?

thanks!

Are you lowered? If so, what set up? And what're the offset of the wleels?

I wouldnt go 20's but thats my taste on these cars. Either way ur profile is kinda high, u need 30 up front and 25 out back. The profile height u posted will add quite a bit of diameter over the stock diameter wheel/tire and will cause the usual oversize issues. (speedo, suspension, etc.)

If you drop its not the size of tires so much as the offset, the tires play a smaller role in size than the wheels witht he proper offsets.

post up the specs on the lexanis, if they arent the right offset they will rub or not work all together

because your running just a bit taller tires by size and brand, and possible lower ET on the wheel than the other guy that does not rub. Lastly your alignment may be different.

I don't think anyone answered simple question #1. But in order to do so, we have to know, what are you trying to accomplish? I've happily driven four years on 17" wheels, although I did get new AMG reps in that size. With upgraded tires and antisway bars, the car has excellent handling, and ride did not deteriorate. If this is all about show (not "go"), the change may make sense, but what is your goal?

firstly we need the specs on your wheels. The ET and wheel width will be your biggest culprit. Then your tires, are they new? What brand are they? Then the least is the alignment. Where does your tires rub? Inside/Out?

Your wheels will be heavier just by design and tire. Your car will not be as nimble or as accurate on corners, but this will be pretty minimal. Depending on your rim specs, I can't tell you if you will rub or not. Suspension will not be affected. You may feel the road more but this is due to the thinner sidewalls. Lastly, it will get a tad bit louder than before.

20's look good on this car but it has to be the right wheel. Most 2pc and 3pc wheels will look like 19's on the car, 20's monoblocs or cast will look big depending on the design. Good luck to you, go with what you like and what makes you feel good about your car.

20s will most likely rub. I had to get mine risen for 19s because I was scared they'd rub.
