Lease Price - Is this a good deal?

Thoughts?

2012 C300 4Matic
Options = COMAND launch, heated seats, SIRIUS, Burl Walnut wood trim
MSRP = $41,360

$6000 down payment

$324 per month

48 Month lease with 10,000 miles

ALL taxes and fees are included.

Edit: That's 10,000 miles per year. NYC sales tax is 8.8%

Leases can get tricky due to different counties tax policies. Need the tax rate for your county. Looks pretty strong but IMO I would back off the down payment on the lease and just subsidize the payment (your financial discipline must be strong) every month because if it gets totalled in the first year or two you can kiss most of that $6K goodbye. The leases include gap insurance so you do not have to worry about paying any negative equity on the lease.

Thats a pretty good deal but i personally wouldn't want it for 48 months. do they have something for 30 months?

48 months seems excessive.

Dont put anything down & have them reduce it to 39 (or less) months.

For your comparison (not a direct one), I recently got quoted for a 2012 C350:

$42,800 (finance, excluding tax and fees)
P1 (included)
Lighting package
Keyless Go
Nav

I haven't used massapequa before. I buy all my cars from Huntington Mercedes (know all the managers and salesman very well). We always get awesome deals. Your deal is pretty good considering it is a new 2012 model refresh, and only last month the dealerships were asking over sticker. But I still think you can do better.

Wait until November's numbers come out. I am fairly certain that they will be more favorable for a lease. I have the same MSRP as you and only pay $360 a month with 5,000 total out of pocket and a 36/39 (not really sure which one) month lease with 12k annual mileage allowed.

If you are doing a 48 months, this number should be less, and your also putting down an extra 1k... I think apples to apples you should be right around $300.

We got our 2011 (38k sticker) for only $2,500 total out of pocket, (which we had a $1,000 MBUSA U.S. Open voucher to also put towards, so really only $1,500) and its a 24 month lease with 12k annual mileage for $335/month.

Two mistakes that I made in my lease: 1. Not enough miles per year, I get 10K mi and that is only about 900 per month, try to get more miles per year. 2. Too long of a lease. My lease is for 48 months and I would have preferred a lease for 30-36mo. My $.02

You're putting $6K into a depreciable asset?

You are going to be paying the $6,000 no matter what. It's just a cap-cost reduction to reduce paying interest on that $6,000 and securing a better rate.
