c350coupe, Gencoupe R-spec
Hahaha, sorry, not familiar with the whole terminology. I would hope your c350 is quicker, because my C300 4MATIC was quicker... and if my c300 4matic was quicker than your c350, then I would imagine we would REALLY run into problems in this thread... LOL
As far as what I did to my car to get it to 6.2 0-60. Daily beat on it (which I think has a BIG part to do with it, as my car always felt marginally quicker than the 2011 c300 which is driven mostly highway and SLOWLY, haha. But as far as mods go, I have K&N drop in filters (which probably don't do anything) and a magnaflow x-pipe with straight pipes in place of the mufflers. Also, after changing my grille I have noticed more "oomph". Perhaps it has increased air-flow? Oh, and of course, always run 93 octane fuel.
Here is a link to my YouTube video a while back:

Come to think of it, in that video I only have the x-pipe installed. New one coming soon.

also I do agree with the "drive it like you stole it" method. have "beaten" my car since day 1 and it is much quicker than some of the other c350 i have meet on the street.
and to add my $.02 to the BMW m3 vs 335 debate. the current v8 m3 is a tank. a very lightly modded 335i would take a 335i, Ive seen it happen, but when it comes stock vs stock the 335i might win the occasional time but the m3 will have majority wins. hell my cousins 135i spanks c63's all day.

@Scat01; the ZHP "package" 10 HP increase figure may have been conservative, but the torque of 222 lb-ft is spot on and truly peaks at 3500 RPM. The C300 torque plateau is quite wide in comparison. Driving the two cars side by side demonstrates how different the character of two naturally-aspirated 3.0L engines can be.
And yes you are quite right, even with ECU tune and camshaft change (and exhaust, too), this is less than a 5% increase. When you think the 2004 M3 with its also naturally aspirated I6 3.2L delivered a whopping 360 HP (in its final tune), the trick is to still develop intake configurations and manufacturing techniques that allow these engines to breathe. And THEN do the FI, be it super or turbo.
As this thread is about street acceleration of a pre-CGI C350 vs 335i, if one takes into account the difference in HP, torque, and the 300+ lb. weight penalty of the W204 vs. the BMW, even with the claimed "mods" to the engine, which is shown to be about 5% at best in the "extreme tune" ZHP example, it is doubtful that even the new C350 can outrun a 335i. Period.

I can see it happening. I beat a g37 with my c300 and everyone went bananas when I made the thread. I have a 335xi and trust me those cars are fast. Normally I wouldn't believe that you could beat a 335 but if it happened then it happened. Those cars are way underrated from the factory. And for the person that said a racecar driver hit 5.5 with the 335, then you should really get in the car and see for yourself. I was getting 5.2 5.3 when it was stock. Be smart and launch in second gear, eliminates all the traction loss.

After I drove the C, the Audi and the BMW, it was the C, game over, not even close. Seriously. But I didn't evaluate just on performance although IMO the Merc bested them.

Find this a little hard to believe unless your mods add up to about 35 HP. My 04 330i ZHP eats my 09 C350 for lunch by .3 secs to 60 and my ZHP has 65 HP less than a 335i.. I would tend to believe the 335i driver didn't know what he was doing or he was still in break-in time. The 335i's run about 5.0 to 60 mph. What's a C350 running 6.0 / 6.1?
