Halogens work fine with projectors. I know for a fact they have projectors. Take a look at the comparison below, then at the w204 headlights. They have both a projector and reflector portion, but I believe it's the low beams that are in the projector housing.

AABatteries, don't try to make me look dumb. I know for a fact (and ask anyone else on this forum) that the C204 DOES NOT come standard with projectors in the headlights. If you go on mbusa.com, and built a C204, a lighting package is a OPTION. The 2008-2010 c classes had projectors standard.

That is the stock housing in the picture I posted. No packages, and there's a projector housing in it. I don't know if you're blind or don't know what you're looking at.

Those are not w204 housings you posted in the first picures and in the last pic you posted it is a prefacelift w204. The c250 is post facelift and doesn't come with projector housing with its halogens.

Cheers! Mike

Bhvrdr is right dudes. No need for a wiener-off. The 2012 C250 lacks projectors. the C300 and C350 pre-facelift had projectors as stock. I'm going to get a full set of HIDs from AZN for Xmas, so as soon as I have them mounted up I'll post some pics.

lol it seems like you don't know what you're looking at if you think the first couple of pic u posted are from a w204. and like what others are saying, projectors come standard for 2008-2011. 2012 does NOT come with projectors standard

First shot might be a GLK, second one maybe an Acadia(kidding), third is obviously prefacelift W204

Idk what the first and second are from, I just found a reflector and projector comparison.

And the third one is infact a 2010 c300.

The day I made my deal, sales show me the 2012 inventory and they had only 2 C250 with lighting package out of 30 C250 in the lot (this is top #3 C-class dealer in the nation), 1 sedan and 1 coupe. So 2012 w/lighting pkg will be rare for few months until production pickup.
Below is lighting vs. none-lighting pkg look.

Thanks for the info! Yup, the lighting package is really rare to find in the US at the moment. It's the same problem just like the new ML. I think that by mid December Or January they'll have the problem resolved.

Other than that, I'm unsure why MB doesn't have the lighting package standard. I would never get the new C without the lighting package. The plain headlights are just ugly.

I took the car for Cyn run and set the light to Auto High Beam to see it on action with Active turning, it was GREAT! When the monitor (behind rear view mirror) sense on coming headlight, the bi-xenon will shut 1/2 of the light and aim lower at the same time. It will also shut the high beam hen you do 180 cyn turns. Also notice the corner light (behind the little C-LEDs) will lit based on the direction you turn not limit to turn signal. It really help you see the corners.
And also noticed this light system doesn't have halogen high beam. I guess bi-Xenon with active aiming help.

OK. So they had to get a backup ECU from MB before they could fiddle with mine. They've got both ECUs now and are sending them over to engineering to be properly tuned up. Right now they've got the car on a scanner, essentially making a 3D wire frame of the car so they can develop body kits and so-on. Thomas said the car should be ready to rock by the end of the week, then I need to find a shipper to get it from FL to VA. Anybody have any recommendations?

Don't know about how competitive their prices are, but the maserati on the homepage was shipped by a friend of mine. He was satisfied, nothing wrong with the vehicle. If you need it done ASAP, it can cost extra, but if you can wait they will ship your car along with others to help save and spread the cost.

You sure they are working on the tuning already? I was under the impression none of the tuners had received the cracked code yet to start modifying. Did they give you an ETA on the tuning aspect of the mods. I'm excited. They are in my backyard if you need any assistance on this end i'd be happy to lend a hand.

cheers! Mike

Can you request a 93 octane tune? Also, with knock detection, it's best to put as much advance as possible to get turbo spooling when starting from a stop. I've done this.

Are you sure this is the renntech in florida? I've been talking to them weekly and just hung up with them 15 minutes ago. They stated the only thing they've done is try to modify an ecu and it destroyed the data and they had to order another one. They stated no updates are expected for 30 to 60 days. Let me know if you'd like any eyes here and ill stop by there today. Cheers! Mike

Thats what I've been told. They've got somebody reverse engineering the ECU now (I guess). Time frame should be by the end of the week, but they've run into problem before so we'll see. If you're nearby and they'll let you look at it feel free to have a gander!
