Need opinions on mods to a white car

Ok soo i have a diamond white car, basically pearl white.. has pano roof. I painted the chrome part of the grille flat black and left the inner slats gloss black. i would like to paint the rear spoiler and front lower part of the bumper black also, my question is would you paint it gloss black to match the pano roof, or do more of a satin or flat black? Also my wheels are going to be satin black.

ideas

I wouldn't ever use a spoiler to accent a roof. I would find something else to tie in the black on the back end, smoked tail lights or black badges.

This is actually kind tricky and I've already rewrote this post a couple times upon further consideration. I'd probably gloss black the rear, but the front bumper I could go either way. What shade is your diffuser?

Mike I was thinking the same thing.. spoiler in gloss and front bumper flat, bc the lower mesh on the bumper is flat.. it would match better. Im not 100% if im going to do the spoiler yet.

I agree. The trunk spoiler should be body color.

You should paint the bottom middle of the front bumper (I think that's the piece you're talking about) flat black. That'll go well with the flat black badges, trunk piece, diffuser, and grille pieces.

EDIT: I also think that painting/vinyling the bottom middle of the front bumper only flows well with certain bumpers, like the facelifted C-class. I'm not sure what car you're talking about, because your info says a 2012 E, but you post this in a C forum.

You could Vinyl wrap the whole car matt black.

FrankW has just Vinyl wrapped his black C32 matt white.

2005 S55 AMG
Hey guys, I have a white 2005 S55 AMG, and was wondering if you guys could me some ideas? I was planning a white/black effect. Maybe plast-dip the emblems all around the car, the rims, the grille, etc. Please give me some advice. Also, has anyone seen smoked tail lights on an S-class? I am thinking of it, but I dont want to look ricey :/

I loved my white C350, wish I got another white, Im stuck w black. I prefer to have all the trim match, not a big fan of mixing flat and gloss blacks on white. Since you have pano thats glossy, I would do all the trims/star in gloss or at least satin. If your gonna mix just be careful and tie it all in, up front OEM plastics are always flat or at best satin, but it doesnt mean it wont mix. U can leave OEM blacks alone and just keep one black shade for all ur personal mods whichever black u prefer. and good luck w the E, I almost got one too instead of a new 350 but I just couldnt bite on the 3.5, was too sluggish for me in that body. And the 5.5 was too much more, I could have done a C63 for same money as E550. I love the body style on the new E, and white is killer, esp diamond white. Im jealous..........post some pics in this forum as u go, F that E forum
