Harman Kardon Logic 7
I need help understanding the differences in sound systems. I currently have the audio 20 in my 2010 C350.
I want to upgrade to a HK logic 7. Does this include a HU or does the HK logic 7 only apply to the amp and the speakers? I have been looking at getting a new HU but can't find any that say they are HK logic 7. Can anyone explain the systems?

From what I understand, it is almost impossible to upgrade to the HK system after the fact/is very cost prohibitive. There is a center channel speaker as well as some additional speakers in the rear, as well as differently specced door speakers, an amp and a different head unit (as far as I know). I don't believe the wiring is present, either.
A few others who know all of the details for sure will probably chime in soon - but there are a few other threads on here recently about this that I have seen.

Thats what I was afraid of. I would like to upgrade the sound but do it in the most cost effect means. If anyone has a suggestion on set-up (replace amp and speakers only maybe?) I would love to hear it.

Same head unit. Audio 20 uses an amp that is built into the head unit. HK uses an additional amp that connects with the head unit. Existing head unit will more than likely require configuration with SDS (dealer) to function with HK amp.

mmmm... my car has this system, but I don't think it's that good... anyway it might be better than the standard sound system which I have no experience with.

When dealing with a highly integrated system like the W204 has, I can't see not upgrading from the start if you have the choice. I'm a bit of an audiophile, and I have found the base audio in the C300 loaners I have had to be less than stellar in both clarity with the highs and punch with the lows.

I was in a 2012 this week listening to Eva Cassidy on some recordings I know well. Benz SA says the standard audio system is improved in the facelift - speakers maybe? 
Don't know if this is just sales BS but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded for car sound which always sucks in that hostile environment IMHO. As you know acr, I dabble in the high end.
The differences between mp3's & the full resolution disc were absolutely audible.
