People are such idiots.
In less busy lots I always look to park as far from other cars and people as possible.
In busier lots densely packed full of idiot hormone driven youths, like the mall, I try to park away from the busiest areas but somewhere that the car is still clearly visible to many bystanders.

I'm sorry to hear about stuff like this. I had an episode like this while shopping on military base near me. I was in the store for less than 30 minutes and came out to find the whole length of my passenger rear door had been keyed. Deep enough to not be able to buff out. I'm a Drill Sergeant and it very well could have been some sorry sack of poop that didn't like if when I made them cry.

C'mon, man, really! Pay more attention next the time you go there and you'll see. Not exactly high-brow clientel in their stores. Just think methlab and wife-beater T's if that helps. Target, Target, Target...
