2012 US Edition C300 Luxury 4-Matic
Traded in 2008 C300 Sport for 2012 C300 4Matic Luxury

So the local dealership called last week days before Christmas, and offered me a great deal as I was coming due on the end of my lease with my 2008 C300 Sport, so this time I purchased a 2012 C300 4Matic Luxury model.

Comparing the two is really apples and oranges, the ride is much more comfortable in the luxury edition as well as the road noise, handling is just as good as the sport and that was a nice surprise.

Overall well please with the interior refresh MB has done on C series.

About the only huge difference I readily notice is that the radio display is now not hidden but incorporated into the dash and is viewable all the time.

I have not had the 4Matic before, so based on what I have viewed on here in the forums previously, it should be fantastic for what little snow/bad winter weather we get where I am located in central Virginia.

This time I also pre-purchased the maintenance services, so that will be nice when its due to have it already paid for.

Wonder how long the stock Continental All Seasons will last? I'll read on here on what others put on as a replacement as I went with Michelins when I replaced the stupid Continental Summer tires that came on the 2008?

Congrats!

Anyone know if the Lux is sound deadened differently or is he just noticing the improvements to the face lifted model?

Thanks for the input. I always thought the handling of the lux would be about same as sport, just a bit slower turn-in, and more lean.

Now you can cross rotate the non-staggered tires every 5K or so, to reduce noise and minimize any feathering.

Note the 4MATIC has about 65% rear bias, for a bit of that RWD felling.

Congrats for sure! I love the rear bias to the 4matic. I've owned countless 4WD trucks and two brand new subarus, and the 4matic is one of the most fun and most predictable to drive in the snow...

Congrats. Nice car.

There was a sound deadening upgrade on all W204's other than Blue Efficiency models where it is reduced to save weight.
