Yup, it's finally official: my wife is now a proud owner of a 08 Baloro Red Metallic C350 Sport w/51K miles.

It was a CPO until I beat the dealer too hard on the price and in order for us to come to an agreement, they decided not to include it. Not a biggie for me.

I got a complete service history printout, CPO worksheet, option code listing with explanations and some other service related printouts. I haven't gone through those yet, though.

It is nicely equipped with navi etc. Unfortunately no Xenons, but I think she'll survive. She was quite impressed during the 1.5 hour drive back from the dealer. AND, most importantly, she likes the color a lot!

It'll be interesting to compare it now to my daughter's 05 C230K in the coming days and weeks. But compared to the Caddy? Haha!!! Then again, they are both good in their own area. Loved the Caddy, too, but she doesn't need such a big thing anymore.

Asking price was 23900 and we did pretty much an even trade for the Escalade. Paid just a nominal amount.

Well, mine has been that color since 2007. Not being a conformist, I did not choose one of the common colors.

Yup, everybody and their brother has the black, white or silver. Nah... They are all nice colors, too. The other option we were considering was black, but after considering all angles, this one won.

I was actually earlier today looking at the pinstripe and thinking about what to do with it. We'll see...

I second the sentiment about the pin stripe!
I remember reading somewhere that very well over 50% of Mercedes purchased are black while or silver.

Could very well be true. We've had the car now for a week and of course I keep an eye out on similar models more than before and so far nothing but those three colors you mentioned.
