Thinking about buying UMI for my 2011 C300? any recomendations
Guys just went to the dealer today and the quoted me for the UMI $1200 without taxes and and installation. My questions are:
How much is usually the installation and how long ( Dealer said they charge $130 per hour)
I currently have the Ipod integration cable inside the glove box, will this make the installation easier
how is the navigation?
Is it work it?
will i be able to install it myself if provided with the installation instruction ( By the way if anyone have it I will be delighted to get them from you if possible)

I had the UMI added to my 2011 C300. I like it very much. My dealer installed it for $1620 all up (parts, labor, tax, etc).
The GPS is very accurate (as in, my driveway accurate). The screen resolution on the 5in screen is not that great, but really, so what? It gives directions and tells you which way to turn. You can see your path ahead. So it's not 1024x768, big deal.
The nice thing with the UMI is it gets traffic data from broadcast radio, free for life. Much better than paying for satellite data that you have to pay for monthly.
The UMI audio integration is very nice, as well.
Make sure that after the dealer returns the car, that the nav and ipod integration are showing on the speedo MFD. Mine didn't know to code it, and I have to take it back.
