Jack Stand Placement
I am planning of painting my calipers sometime in the next few weeks and thought I would just put all four corners up on jack stands while I work and while the epoxy cures.
Does MB recommend a particular placement for jack stands? I know we have jacking points and I have the adapter for that but just don't want to end up placing the jack stand under something that looks beefy enough only to find out later that was a big no no.
Any help appreciated.

if u use the factory points to lift the car use the suspension mounts for teh stands. basically where the wishbone connects to the subframe is a good spot, thats where I lift from sometimes in the shop. same w the rear its also a strong spot. Dont use anything close to the factory lift point, its all sheetmetal and plastic on top

the owner's manual has one for each corner near the wheels with the special block for the Mercedes benz jack.
I would not be able to put a regular jack stand there right!

I bought 2 2000 lb hydraulic trolley jacks , removed the cups , cut oblong pieces of steel to fit the MB jacking points & fitted them to the jacks.

I went to pep boys, auto zone. Ended up returning an expensive jack cause the head was too big for the c300 jack point. I also returned two jack stands from auto zone cause they def don't fit on the wells. So I decided to buy two of these jacks. Pep boysells the exact one but in a different color packaging. It's on special for 20 bucks but they didn't have them in the store. So I just went to my local Walmart. They work great but also I will not be working under te car just cause a value my life :-). For that you prob do need proper jack stands
