Adding Memory Seats and Homelink

My father recently got a 2011 C320 and not long after that my moms car died. They are currently managing with the C320 but the one thing that both of my parents have mentioned to me is that they wish they got the memory seats package. Is this something that can be added after the fact without having to go through the dealer?

Also, is it possible to add the rear view mirror that has the garage door buttons on it? This was a feature he has on his old Mercedes that this one didn't come with and he misses it. I have a Dodge and was able to add Homelink to my car by just getting the Homelink module and the wiring harness that powered it. I am hoping the Mercedes is just as easy.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

You could probably find a mirror on ebay with the Homelink chip in it, I'm not sure if it would be plug and play though.

As far as the seats, I would imagine would be a very extensive job probably lacking cost effectiveness.

I was able to find a mirror on ebay but it makes no mention of the harness I think it must have.

for the seats, and I might just be making it more simple than it is, but I know there is a black box under the seat that two harnesses plug into this. Could this box store the seat memory?

I would also love to have the memory seats on my wife's C350, but adding them might be a bit more difficult since the controls are on the door panel. Not sure if the harness is there already. The seat controls also have the head restraint adjustment and I'm pretty sure that motor is not inside the seat.

thanks for hotlink link. I have to see if I can find a mirror around $150 like the post. Cheapest I found so far was around $300.

would you be able to take a pic of the controls on your wifes car. I'm curious what I am possible going to be working with.

Her car does not have the memory seats, but what I remember from seeing in other W204s, they are on the door panel as opposed to the side of the seat in the cars with the non-memory seats.

Google is your friend.

2011 C320? It's either a C300 or C350. The C320 was a W203, best forgotten.

Adding the Homelink dimming rearview mirror is trivially easy. I added it to my car.

Memory seats sounds like a much bigger deal (maybe nearly impossible).

Thanks for the link on the rear view mirror. I am now very comfortable with installing it. I just need to find one first.

Here's a beige one, $100:

Both Grade A.

Thanks PilotAlan. I have to check with my dad but I think he has the beige interior. I know that from the pics it is not black but cannot tell if it is possibly another light interior color.

I think there's only black, beige, and grey for interior trim (but I'm not 100% on that)

Thanks again. I have a call into my parents to find out. I am hoping he has the beige since that one you found for $100 would be perfect.
