Xenon Light question

Hey guys, in the midst of buying a c350 on Wednesday, but it has no Xenon..

i'll only be using this car for a year or so, but I cannot fathom driving with it now, since my last 2 cars had it.

I will be looking to purchase a kit right away. No matter the price, once it works correctly I don't care.

I came across this website, can anyone advise if they are reputable?

thanks!!

i don't know about philips but here is a place you can buy your hid kit, lifetime warranty i no a lot of members who have these hid lights on their car and no complain. light bulb size is H7, you can choose 6000k or 8000k which ever one you want and also get a error canceler so it will work properly, you can give them a call and they will tell you everything you need for your Mercedes.

be careful with the order because the new facelift w204s have a different connector from the previous models...the ones before have a metal clip to hold the bulbs in place that can be modified but if you've tried to take out the headlight, you will notice that it is just a plug shaped like the base of the bulb...maybe it might work without modifications but i have a feeling that it might not work.

I order the same kit from where you got yours. 55w with canbus. now the ballast is it one piece with build in igniter or it's a separate unite? also did the kit come with a connector that will mate to the stock harness or just two blade wire? got any pics? thanks again.

I just ordered the complete hi/low beam kits from Philips/Xenon. Probably paid more than I should have, but I'm hoping this product is better quality.
Will report back once it's installed.
Here's what I ordered:
1 x Mercedes-Benz Xenon Lights Kit by Philips HID
Select Mercedes Model : Mercedes C Class
Select Application : High Beams
Select A Year : 2011
Select Color : 6000K

I've ordered from them for my c300 and liked their product. Had it in the car for a year and a half. Theb traded it for a ml. Liked the product so much that I ordered another set for my ml. A little on the expensive side but you pay for what you get. Was gonna order from asnoptics but they don't have 5000k in stock as of now. Buying from phillipsxenon will give you everything you need for the install

I posted pix of mine with the Philips (slim canbus ballasts). The pix will show you what the led versus stock eyelids too. Philips 4200k look awesome( better than my stock Acura TL's hids)

Good Luck!

I've read that the headlight flash feature will not work with HIDs because it takes a while for them to illuminate. Since I ordered both hi and low beams from Philips, I think I'll return the hi beam kit and just upgrade the halogen hi beams.

Wongster, thanks for the vote of confidence on the Philips kit. I feel better already.

I thought I made that clear. The light flasher, when the lights are off, flashes the inner high beam only which can benefit with a higher wattage bulb. When the headlights are on, flashing illuminates the inner high beam and lifts the shutter on the illuminated Xenon bulb which is then on high beam. The Xenon bulb is always on but partially shielded on low beam.

The flashing does work, but it does take a few seconds for the color to match the low beams and to brighten to maximum power. I am thinking that a different ballast for the high beams may be the solution. Any body else tried an OEM ballast for high beams?
