Sounds good mike! I'd be down to test fit it needed. Also do you think spyder would be down to make their own version of the 2012 led tails? I'd be the first to buy them and seeing as there's a massive market for them right now for the pre-2012 crowd they could definitely make some $$ if they came out with them :3

TAILS?! Now we're talkin!
Can we get something that incorporates the OEM LED position with a smoked or dark cherry tint on just the red area and of course amber signals!

Yeeee good to hear! Hopefully they keep it how it looks! Maybe with a few tweaks if needed though.
If they need to test fit a P2 car, I'm down to as always.

My ideal dream configuration would be do away with eyebrows entirely, black out the entire housing and use dual projectors for high and low beam, remove the turn signals, keep the bottom LED strip, but use switchback LEDs so they'd be white as DRL and flash white/amber when signal.
Probably not gonna happen lol

When a group buy is initiated, I'll create a separate thread with price and instructions. GB will probably be open for 1-2 weeks to give everyone the opportunity to get in on it.

2008 Black Out C350 Saks Edition / 87 VW GTI
Like it was mention before, they look to busy and it will be nice if they do something about the eye browns and like you said is not for everyone, we all have different taste but is nice to see new products being made.

Some news:
Working out group buy pricing, but it might end up being a tiered approach (ie. 1-5 = $x, 6-10 = $y, 11-20 = $z)
As for modifications, eyebrows can be removed, but it would raise production cost to the point we're pushing $400/set and would take 18 week to re-mold. They want to keep the price point in the $300s as the sweet spot and I agree with that. Eyebrows can be pseudo eliminated on our end by tinting the eyebrows and wiring up resistors without bulbs on the unit or just leave the bulbs plugged in, but outside the headlight assembly, acting as engine bay lighting. Turn signal reflectors cannot be removed due to DOT restrictions unfortunately which would block them from being able to be shipped stateside. I've asked if black chrome is an option or if it's a chrome reflector piece, can they be removed as an option after they get imported in. Final product is not set yet, but wanted to keep you all updated.

Lol. Awww. Well then I'll most likely be waiting for just tails. Any word on if they plan on fixing that eyebrow issue where the light doesnt really reach the very ends?

That was a suggestion I had sent out to blend the strip in with the housing to remove one of the 4 components.
They're banking on those who A) don't want to take it to a shop to black out housing and B) want LED DRL strips similar to the Audi/VW/Lexus/newer MBs.

quick question, are these the same lights ?

I'll wait for the group buy anyway though
and I like the head lights the way they are, but how azn pointed out the switchback led's would be perfect. i agree with the blacked led strip, and if possible use black chrome for the turn signals,

Reminds me of a girl with too much bling jewelry on her ears. One of those things that are so distractingly busy, simplicity will become extra refreshening after time. Like the idea of different types of headlights to choose from, but IMO they could use some simplifying.

I actually don't mind the headlights. To me, its a good alternative to keep your foglights if you have a PRE 2011 and still have DRL LEDs.
AZN, Can you wire the LEDs to be constantly on? It be cool if you can!

I don't want to start re-wiring right now as we're doing durability testing still and don't want to introduce a variable that might skew those results....yet

Would it be possible for us (the consumer) to do it if it was explained to us which wiring controls it? I love the headlights, just seams kind of pointless to have LED DRL type style lights to use at night time only or they only can be switched on with your parking/headlights, defeats the whole purpose IMO.
May have been discussed already, but would these work with factory Xenons?

as far as the headlight goes, count me in if its build for factory Xenon. since i did the 2011 LED DRL on my bumper i'm gonna keep my front signal white LED lights and IF i can rewire the LED strip, I'd use them as signal lights as well. THAT would look awesome and not busy at all with the eyebrows.

It's not built for factory xenons. Lol, says on their ebay product descriptions. Which means I'm already counted out. >_> Waiting for tails I guess!
