I'm about 31 thousand miles and so far my breaks still feel good
but i just want to get a feel for how long did you guys breaks last you for?
did you replaced them all at once or maybe the fronts first or the rear first.
and finally COSTS. How much did you pay etc.

^ This.
And its brakes, not "breaks". All depends on your driving habits. City driving requires more braking than freeway/highway driving. Changed my brakes at 45k. Changed my rear pads only and my front brakes pads are still good. When you change pads, I recommend getting akebono pads. They're* real nice pads that don't throw a lot of brake dust on your rear wheels. Can't tell you how much you'll spend but I bought the pads from tirerack and did the job myself. Amazon might have it cheaper.
*EDIT*

Or, until they heal!
But, back on topic. I tossed my pads early due to dust and installed Akebono. The performance is excellent and the dust is almost zero. They are outstanding and I will use them again when needed. At 25,000 miles, I think I have a while to go.

yeah i hate dealing with dust. with my new rims come monday i don't wanna deal with dust. how much did you pay for the Akebono?
Well this is strange, but given where I live, I guess it could potentially be understandable. I had service B done about a month ago and the techs said I have about 28% of my rears left. Right now my car is approaching the 20k mark and I bought it back in November of 09. For the first two years or so I had been commuting up and down this hill, and I assume braking while going down on a near-daily basis strained my rears. Fronts are still at 70% though. I'll probably switch out to akebonos when needed.
@ItsLoonie, love that you found it necessary to point out the correct spelling of "brakes" but are unable to determine when to use "they're" and "their" correctly...
To all others, thanks for the info. I was wondering the same thing about mine.

Changed my rears at 15k and front now at 68... I have been tracking my car so it's a no brained for me. All in all it depends on your driving habits and or if street or highway commute
