Dynamat + MLV my trunk but still exhaust drone..
I just dynamated my trunk and put a layer of mass loaded vinyl on it and then another layer of acoustic foam...still... It still drone....Freeway drone is really annoying but I like the start-up sound though.
Here is the pictures of my trunk and where my muffler is (right under rear seats)!!
so I guess I better put them under rear seats too??
any opinion~~~ HELP!!!

I don't think ANYONE has solved the drone issue to those who removed their mufflers. The simple solutions would be to 1. Put your mufflers back on. 2. Buy some aftermarket mufflers (ie. Magnaflow). 3. Get glasspacks as some have recommended but have not tried (no tested outcome for this option). 4. Play your music louder than your exhaust. 5. Remove cochleas.

I do have magnaflow muffler installed but not at the end of the exhaust thou it's right under rear seats as the picture shows...
and my passengers had told me that the sound comes from under the rear seats....
I am thinking putting dynamat on the metal sheet under the car...but I afraid that it might melt.. LOL

I guess you are on a mission, but what you are willing to go through for a bit of sound is quite striking! By the time you add up the time and money, and then consider the additional weight your car is carrying around all the time, is it really worth it? With the stock system, one layer of Damplifier Pro in the under-designed spare tire well produced a great result, but you've probably set the drone/noise bar too high for any patchwork solutions to be effective.

I did mine from underneath. before I put the meisterschafts on I had done some reading and AZN's setup seemed to work pretty good. I did the underside of trunk like you but mostly for my subwoofer setup, then I did the car underneath while the exhaust was off. I had lots of time I did my own install so I layered up under the heatshields and tacked new sheetmetal in on top of the tunnel. I have no drone inside u can barely tell an exhaust is on the car unless you get on it pretty hard. Outside its pretty loud, like a stock exhaust tone when ur WOT just louder and a little raspier. I couldnt be happier w the sound, Im almost tempted to remove the resonators I custom made and use the SR pipes...

But there is no where to put my resonator back on, I installed a muffler at the place where the resonator is what will happen if I replace the secondary cat with stock resonator??
btw dynamat won't melt under the car??

The secondary cats already reduce some sound, so removing them would increase sound, plus there's not enough room there to fit the stock resonator.
I like snarlingchicken's 3rd suggestion. From my understanding, glasspacks don't reduce sound as much as magnaflow mufflers, so placing them where your stock mufflers were might be worthwhile.
Also, do you have an x-pipe? I remember you saying you did, but I can't tell from that picture.

Yes I do have xpipe right before my magnaflow muffler ( both at the stock resonator place) and nothing else after those two
I can't put dynamat underneath the car because there are no space and my hands couldn't fit inside....
so you guys think glasspack will reduce the drone sound?? those cheap one will do? I spent almost all of my allowance on this LOL...

Seeing your whole cabin is a place of resonance, I was just thinking, has anybody tried to angle the exhaust tips downwards at an angle of say 15 degrees, so it does not explell waves behind the car parralel to the cabin you sit in as you travel-? I have seen builders of high performance cars angle the tips down in the road even just before the rear bumpers. Just a thought.
