W204 Megan Coilovers
I checked the lowering thread already and saw nothing on these Coilovers..
anybody got these installed can comment on ride quaility and relibility? Debating over H&R Coilovers vs Megan's (cheaper and damping adjustable)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Megan-Racing...item3a6bf5c34c
I wanted to go H&R Super Sport but getting alot of replys with bounciness of their rides. Also SS looks too low for me. I kinda want a drop inbetween Super Sport and Sport.
I want it close as stock comfortness as possible as this car is no sports car with its horrible hp.
Anybody can chime in? Im ordering this week =D

I suggest looking into BC Racing Coilovers. BC racing makes the Megan Coilovers but in lower standards. BC Racing also makes a lot of the other coil overs out there, but again in lower standards as requested by those independent companies. Anyways, they are local, offer a great product, and warranty. Their welds and supports are better than most of the other coil overs you will see out there. They also come with top hats, 32way adjustable. H&R's are great, but when you adjust H&R height, you also change the spring rate. Where as when you adjust BC's it does not change the spring rate. They do this by having an adjustable tube, vs adjusting perches. With BC you can adjust perch, and adjust the main tube to raise or lower the car. They also offer replacement tubes for warranty, and if out of warranty they are cheap replacement. Go check them out, they are worth the consideration for the price and features. I have seen these in person, and comparing them to my other coil overs I have used in the years.. they are well made. I have used,
TANABE, KONI, ZEIL, GREX, TEIN, H&R, OHLINS as my latest on my S4.
I am not an employee, or associated by this company, just a witness to their product in person and have handled and felt their product. Just passing info on.

I went with coilovers not because I wanted to go really low (WHICH IS AN OPTION NOW =D). I didnt want to worry about
- the amount of drop I want which is lower than Sports but not as low as SS. Not even look (Racked/Level)
- gap changes worry when I change rims styles/sizes
- springs sagging over time
- premature shock wear
- comfort
Also when I sell the car ill just swap the stocks back on and not worry about the condition they are in for the next buyer.

what I dont like about the H&R setup is reusing the stock cap, kinda cheezy considering they are pretty expensive. Not sure what brands are out there for the w204s, I cant use them I have dynamic handling so I cant swap the coilover completely, but I would definitely spend the money on adjustable tubes versus spring perch. Its much nicer to dial in your ride using the dampening and spring rate and adjust the height individually

I had Megan coilovers on my Saab 9-3ss and was far from impressed.
Terrible ride quality and they were noisy. They were quite capable at the track and other driving events, but the trade off for daily driving was far from worth it.
I replaced them with Koni yellows and HR springs, lap times were the same on this setup as they were on the coiovers but without the ****ty ride quality and noise.

if you do a search i think hitokiri posted on a thread about it since he runs it, his ride quality is near stock. friend has a is250 running on megans as well and her ride quality is great with a tucked drop.
