Can't decide if I should get this grill or paint my OEM gloss black. I must say it looks good here. Does the mesh match the lower grill mesh exactly? That'd be cool.

The mesh is similar and actually the pattern is upside down when compared to the lower center mesh. It looks close enough that only a severely obsessive person would mind.

The finish is glossy though, while the oem mesh is just flat black pastic.

If you get the chance, could you take a close up of the grille where the hood meets the bumper? I'd really like to see this before pulling the trigger on this grille.

It's not perfect, and this picture definitely shows off where the fitment is lacking, but from a couple feet back you really don't notice it much. Both sides look the same so it isnt quite so glaring

Thanks for the picture! I was actually talking about the separation in the outer chrome ring and how that lines up with the bumper and hood gap (beside the headlight), but that picture covers that and more. Still a nice looking grille, though. I wonder if that gap is the same on the original C63-style grille.

Ok, just had a look above, that gap is a bit much, but nothing you won't be able to live without.

That looks great! I've seen some single fin grilles recently that did not have the chrome border, and although they were nice, they did not wow me. Now that I've seen it on your car (mine is palladium so slightly darker but I think will have same effect), I'm definitely gonna add it to my wish list! Too bad I'm still trying to justify to myself on spending a little extra for a Valentine 1 so this would have to wait!

My grille fitment was all off. Got it in on Monday and put it on. It sticks out on the sides and doesn't fit to the upper part of the bumper. Took photos and emailed them to the sell. 55tech... he told me that out of the 70 that he's sold, there have been about 3 that have had fitment issues. just my luck. Question anyone else have fit met issues with the grille fitting to the top of the bumper. Also the front of my car isn't uniform anymore if i put the grille on. The vents on the grille are gloss black... the vents on all of our cars are matte black. so id have to get those painted if i decided to get another grille. In sunlight it really stands out the diff between the gloss on the grille and the matte finish in the bumper vents.

Is yours worse than the pics I posted above?

Here's a word of advice, don't have such high expectations for Taiwanese-made OE knock off parts.
