I bought them off an eBay seller from Washington and they came in the box with Asian writing on it and the bottom of the bulb says made in Germany... So I'm assuming they're real.

But when I put them in the passenger side bulb was significantly less bright than the driver side bulb, and it also has a more blue ish tint since but i am assuming that is because it's less bright I guess? I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, is it just a bad bulb maybe? I don't think i put it in wrong or anything since it really only fits one way... if I touched the bulb accidentally maybe while putting it in would that effect it?



taken with an iphone but you can see the one is less bright and its not the angle...or is the right just too bright? but that doesn't seem right...any ideas?

Did you verify the bulbs are seated properly? I ad the same problem with my PIAAs but it was due to my installation.

yeah i mean the straight edge is facing down in the spot it should be and they fit in well, at first i thought this too. I just switched them and cleaned off the bulb with some microfiber cloth (why not?) and now they are practically identical still a little off but i dont know what else to do.


haha I know right.. but basically i mean that the box seems to be in japaneese/chinese whatever which is on all the real boxes too (some writing in english but a lot in asian) and the bulbs ran for over an 90 minutes today with no damage like all the post I read about people who bought fake ones from HK and they bubbled out or burned out after 40min. so im about 90% sure they're real, also cause they look better quality than images of fake and feature the "made in germany" on the bulb as stated is on the real ones. correct me if im wrong

Cleaning bulbs after touching the glass is done with a lintless cloth moistened with alcohol to remove skin oil.

I am having a similar problem witha different set of bulbs. How is the bulb supposed to sit in the housing, where should the tab go, on the bottom?

TAb should be on the bottom, but you still need to ensure they are seated properly when the retaining clip is put in place. It may shift slightly.
